This is a fun and unique place to check out. They have a wide array of antiques to buy. Its a good store to visit if you simply want to pass time or browse. A must visit if you collect antiques or are a history buff.

No! I can find something anywhere. Not here. Iffy calling it antiques. People there were nice and friendly but no if you are an antique person.

Black Rose Antiques and Collectibles! A great shopping experience for those who love to be discriminated against and treated like a petty criminal. I have been coming to this store since I was about ten years old with my grandparents and mother, which is part of what sparked my interest in antiques. I am currently in my early 20's and have not had a pleasant experience here since those days when I was a child. My most recent trip was perhaps my worst yet though, as the second I came in the door I was greeted by little whispers between employees and then followed vigorously through every isle and booth as I tried to browse. The employee that was following me was walking up to every showcase I was browsing, would shoot me a dirty look and then check the lock on the case. This ignorant act was plain rude and created a very uncomfotable and hostile experience. My girlfriend also accompanied me here and there was a point where we had split up to browse our individual interests and she as well experienced the same thing. After about a total of 15 minutes I had asked the female employee that was up my ass to open a case so I could examine an item, which was greeted by an attitude ridden reply. She didn't even have the keys to the booth that she followed me too hence proving my point that it was a pure act of profiling me as a shoplifter. I will not be returning to this location anymore as they are not worthy of my patronage. I understand that stores need to cover there end in terms of loss prevention but come on, I'm a clean cut individual (which should't matter because profiling is wrong) who hasn't stolen anything in my life. So yeah, unless your over the age of 60, prepare to feel very uncomfortable during your shopping experience.

I absolutely love the Black Rose in Hanover! I purchased a pie safe that reminds me of my uncle's farmhouse. One of the dealers, Barb, who also works there held the piece for over a week. We were traveling from out of town which made scheduling tricky. There is something for everyone, and the prices are amazing! Thanks Barb...you made my day! Heidi
