Blackie's Hot Dog Stand

Highly overrated. The dog itself is good but the topping game is real off. The pepper relish just isn't that good or flavorful. The dog is good but I wouldn't put it even top 3 in CT.

I'm not sure why food network or the travel channel hasn't been here yet because of how good Blackie's is. Its simple menu ensures that your order can't be messed up. I've never had a hot dog that snaps the way Blackie's does. My favorite order is 2 with a chocolate milk and chips while sitting at the counter.

Loved this place since I was a kid. Best homemade relish around. Always have to add a birch beer to the dogs!

Blackie's is still number one in our book for hot dogs and cheeseburgers. The fresh meat flavor is in their products. Relish is the BEST! Dont ask for fries, ask for chips! The help there are so friendly and fast in serving you. Limited in door dining do to pandemic

Old time got dog"stand". Always good dogs. Also have burgers and birch beer on tap. Homemade reload and spicy mustard to them off nicely!

Simple menu. Easy decision as to what to order. Yummy hot dogs and ya gotta have the birch beer! Cold fries are delish as well.
