I’ve been taking my puppy here since he was 8 weeks old. During summer time in morning and evening one would notice at least 25 dogs playing here. This is a perfect place for dog owners. I always bring my pup here, he plays with other dogs gets tired, comes home and sleep for 4 hours
People take too many dogs off their leash here even though the signs say to keep your dog on a leash. One dog that didn’t have a leash on jumped at my dog. Not okay.
Too many DOGS Freely running around without a leash playing in the Water Fountain. NOT as ENJOYABLE as before. Some dog owners don't realize that there are some KIDS that are AFRAID of dogs even if they are Cute, Friendly & Well Mannered
It has become somewhat of a dog park but I enjoy sitting on the bench in the early evening with my husband, snacking or listening to music through earphones.
I like walking my dog at Blackstone Square, MOST dogs and their owners are educated enough to understand the boundaries of a PARTIALLY fenced and NON-GATED area. I let my dog walk unleashed, as many other owners do with CLOSE SUPERVISION to their pets. I haven't ever witnessed an entirely carefree owner or aggressive dogs brawling in my personal experience. It's an open space for people having Yoga classes, Tai Chi Chuan practices, book reading, seating and talking with neighbors on a bench, kids playing and some picnics. Very safe during daylight hours, with harmonious space sharing and fairly friendly interactions. I just don't like when the Park and Recreation Dept people come around with their vans, asking users to leash their dogs, as a regular user, I see it is an unnecessary harassment, since MOST responsible dog owners are there on daily basis, at this point most owners and their dogs just leave the place for the time being, awaiting the PRD people to leave the area.
I loving call it dog psrk because at certain times of the day the dogs and their owners gather to let thr dogs play. Its amazing and 10/10 would recommend.
I walk around here everyday due to the nature of my job, and I often smile dog owners and dog walkers bring to the park near the square, their well behave, dogs and puppies, it makes mecfeel better when i see how free they play with eachbother, and their owners, also you can see people reading a book, hanging out with friends all this , practicing social distance, sunshine, birds flying around, I love nature and believe this is a good park if you want to bring your pets here, I brought mine's a while ago and will do it again in a hard beat!!
People bring their dogs and let them off the leash. Nice fountain
I went to Blackstone area seeking to see this beautiful mural of Dr Martin Luther King and his beautiful wife Correta King who was also on the wall of New hotel side of Shawmut Street and Melnea Cass Blvd. On the Boston show called Citylife they said South End and if you from Urban community you know that's Roxbury.
Nice park. People let dogs off leashes
