I grew going to this zoo, and always loved it. Recently my boyfriend and I decided to visit. It has improved immensely over the past ten years. They have larger, better environments for the animals than many other small zoos, the animals all seem well cared for, and it was well-staffed. Not all of the exhibits were open, because they were under construction, but the zoo offered discounted tickets due to this. It's a great place for family outings, dates, hanging out with friends, or just to get outside!

Just moving to Iowa and we really like this zoo! It is smaller but lots of different kinds of animals and the exhibits are great. You can tell they put a lot back into the zoo which is nice. The sea lion interaction with the keepers is a not miss! That is super fun! Can't wait to see the upgrades and additions.

A perfect place to visit, let the kids run, grab a slice of pizza (which, unlike most zoos, does not cost an arm and a leg), take a train ride (also a reasonable price), pet some goats, ride a camel and see rhinos!! We can usually see almost everything in 3 hours. The zoo is full of healthy, happy animals and there are not too many that the kids get tired. We ended up getting a zoo pass and have totally enjoyed it. There are a lot of fun events for adults (Zoo Brew) too.

Zoo time!! Who doesn't love animals!?! My family goes a few times a year. Not only can you see many animals from different habitats but the zoo often puts on special activities for the public. During Halloween they have "Night Eyes" handing out candy and people dressed in costume. The last visit was during spring break, a little chilly but there were still animals out and my girls loved the time spent there. They offer specials and online paying to make life easier when you arrive. The prices are reasonable and the gift shop has things for all price ranges!! We will return many more times this year alone!

The blank park zoo is a great place to bring small children and family members. The place isnt extravagant but it is as good as it gets for an Iowa zoo. When I visited last they were doing quite a bit of renovating so maybe bigger and better things are to come. The snow leopard and the tiger are quite the site to see. Perfect place for plans for the day.
