First time here and WOW….GREAT PIZZA. Very fresh….efficient…..and friendly team making the pizza. Highly Recommend!

Whenever I come to Ames I always eat at blaze Pizza. When people ask me what kind of pizza place it is, I said it's like a Subway but it's pizza. You get to either choose signature pizzas from the menu or you can choose individual ingredients. There are even dessert options. It's always very quick and I love the choices. My teenagers also love this place and we're never disappointed. I just wish LeBron didn't own 10% because I hate putting money in his pocket. I'm going to give it five stars because I love the product. But I will say every time I go there it's hard to find a table that's been cleaned and I feel like the eating area could be a little more picked up, swept, tables wiped down, etc.
Went here two days ago… I would have given this place 5 stars… but it’s only 5 stars during the day. I waited a couple days to leave a review so I could make it as objective as possible. I went here in the evening and EVERYTHING was cross contaminated. Want cheese? - they have cheese with 10 other things that have fallen into it. They also slap on ingredients without a care in the world also why so many things are cross contaminated… they sprinkle whatever is in their hand into every container on the way to your pizza. The floor was also disgusting. I have never seen a floor/work area so dirty in a restaurant. It looked like they were making a pizza on it. My pizza was also so burnt the guy offered to cut the burnt crust off the outside rim but didn’t offer to remake it it was pretty BLACK at the bottom and edges - more than usual - every bite tasted like charcoal. I enjoy it here most of the time, but two days ago was just gross if I’m being honest. It was one of those situations where you look around and think “should I even risk eating here” as the flies danced around the spilled ingredients. A lot of employees were also just standing around despite the place looking like it exploded. I almost wanted to grab a broom and sweep it myself. If you have a dietary restriction I would not recommend as they don’t do a good job of preventing cross contamination. I know this isn’t “gourmet” food, but the service I was paying for was lacking. Will edit the review in the future if I notice things change. I also get that rushes of customers can happen - but it was just gross on this particular occasion. I would still recommend giving this location a try, though. They do make good pizza most times. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because I know it can be better.
Great food and service! Best way to describe it that is easy to understand is like it’s a Subway for Pizza! Mix and match creating your own and many options! Highly recommend giving it a try! Pizza is enough for 1 or just a couple slices to take home. Also have a great alternative for their fountain pop straw waste with a lid that already has a hole.
June 3rd lunch. Food was good. Service was awful. I’ve been to Blaze pizza few times before and I never had complaints but this was different. The guy taking orders was very demanding and aggressive. I took some time like 10s to see the menu, he was continuosly sighing as if seeing the menu is unacceptable. I had only one person behind me. Not only that, one of the pizza dough fell off for rushingdon’t know why he was rushing tbh, nobody was bothering him and he stared at me as if I’m the reason for his mistake. Still wanted the pizza so I kept going on but won’t go back until he gets replaced. Ben
I really enjoy their fast fire oven pizzas! Parking is limited but understandable considering it’s so close to campus. Hidden gems are their deserts! You should probably try the s’mores cookie sandwich next time you are in there.
As a someone who eats GF non-allergy related, this pizza place is in my top 3! The cauliflower crust is super yummy and I know many people who are not GF, yet go out of their way to get it. Quick service and high quality toppings. I will definitely be returning! Dietary restrictions: Two different gluten free crust options!
What's not to love about spending 10 bucks to build your own pizza and have it ready in just a few minutes??!! There is some great management there bc everyone on the Blaze team was smiling and friendly. Vegetarian options: All kinds of veggie choices Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of gluten free options.
One of the BEST pizzas I've ever eaten!!!! I'm originally from Chicago. I now live in Georgia. There is a Pie5 pizza near me that's similar to Blaze but Blaze is soooo much better tasting. Very nice lively atmosphere. Nice customer service with smiling faces. I LOVE the open fire oven! I think that makes the BIGGEST difference between the 2. Very deep seasoning. I had the original crust sausage and pepperoni . 3 WORDS......D......LISH......US!!!! Located along the Iowa State University campus. Prime location. An unusual sippy cup top for your drink cups. no straws It was different. Your boy The RIBOLOGIST IS OUT
