I used to be a 24hour fitness member before it was closed. If you're like me – living in the neighborhood looking for a new place to work out – this is a very nice gym. First, the staff is very friendly and hard working. I truly respect their job on keeping gym clean and organized!. Thank you guys. Second, gym is relatively small but you got all you need. Machines, dumbbells, cardio equipment etc. Now new regulations are a bit confusing and sometimes makes no sense, but I guess this is a new norm, so live with it. There was a review from the past that said some benches a wobbly, and I confirm that's still an issue. It's an easy fix and I don't understand why it takes so much time to do. Also, I've noticed a couple of times that there were lines outside of the gym. Again it's a new norm, but I think staff can easily address that by politely announcing through intercom that patrons should limit their time in a gym and let others use it as well. * To SMM who posts those "thank you for taking the time to leave a review", better spend a minute and call the technician to fix those wobbly benches. Your automatic responses looks pathetic. I want to see something like that: "Benches fixed. Thank you for letting us know." UPD: I feel like I need to update my review taking one star away. Two years after covid and with the world returning to normalcy gym has become overly crowded. Literally. Squat racks are taken by same ppl for hours. Free-weights area is full of teens hanging out. Management can easily address this issue by replanning the floor and removing unused cardio equipment to use the space more efficiently. I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. Good news is – the old 24hour fitness is reopening soon so without a doubt I'm canceling my membership. Unless I see some improvements. Your move Blink.
If you arrive in the time when occupancy is less than 25%, gym is generally on-pair with average Brooklyn gym. I found that Google maps reported occupancy more accurately than the blink app. Gym music is too loud, but if you wear good noise-cancelling headphones, you barely notice it. Expect for gym policies to be changed without notice. Another point to make is the gym membership is difficult to cancel.
Alot of the machines are broken and have been broken for so long. Most of the workers are good, but there is one gentlemen that creates hazardous conditions for the members. Cleaning and vacuuming around people lifting heavy weights is a disaster waiting to happen. Dusting TV's over people working out is so inconsiderate. We appreciate the effort of keeping a clean gym, but not at the expense of the members.
I was at training only 2 times! For 4 months blink charges from me 162$, and for cancel they charge $20 When I want to pay my bill in the gym, I can’t make payment by card very bad! Don’t recommend this gym no one!
Fix the machines already it’s been months. In addition, please do something about these young kids holding squat racks for hours. They literally sit on their phones or hold the rack for their friends that aren’t even in the gym but on the way. They cannot do that .
Machines are constantly broken and takes forever to fix. Seated cable row has been broken for about a year now. What's the point of charging a yearly maintenance fee if things stays broken. Ok it's finally fixed today after a year.. .
I absolutely love this gym. All the staff are incredibly friendly. The gym is always clean. People are nice to each other and they have everything you need to workout. I love that they have 4 squat racks for a blink. Love it! Update 9/10/22 - Although this is the first gym I've ever started out in, it's definitely gone a bit downhill since about half a year ago. There's noticeably a large amount of machines that are always broken or ones that keep breaking without then being fixed for weeks/months. Would be great if they could stay in top of that.
Yo! Love this gym so much. In the past year and a half it has become like a second home to me. The staff are the greatest and are extremely friendly. While I do wish that there was more room for weights and other types of equipment, I think they make pretty good use of the space. It does get pretty crowded in the afternoon, but most people are really nice and will most likely let you work in. The energy is electric and the people will motivate you to reach your fitness goals. I've met some great friends in this gym and I have grown the most in this space. Overall, this is the best gym around!
The gym is good, but the staff can be rude. I ultimately stopped going because it was affecting my mental well-being.
Would've given five stars if it wasn't for the lack of weight training equipment. It's just not enough given how many people attend this location. Whoever is in charge there needs to reorganize the place. Half of the area is taken up by the cardio machines that nobody ever uses. Adding three more squat and bench press racks instead would certainly help to make the gym less congested. Moving the free weights to a separate are would be beneficial as well. Please, listen to your customers. There many who pointed this out to you in their comments here and personally to the staff. Remove all those unused cardio machines and put much needed additional weight equipment instead. You will definitely begin to lose customers once more competition pops up in the area with a more thoughtful design to their locations.
