Blo-It-Out Lounge

This is my first and last horrible experience here. First off. The girl who “washed” my hair did not even scrub my scalp. There was barley any lather in my hair. When she blow dried my hair, flakes of dandruff came out. She did not even flat iron my hair from the root, she went from and inch away from my scalp to flat iron my hair. I can tell this was the girls first time doing thick African American hair. When I left, my scalp felt cold because she didn’t blow dry it all of the way. If you can’t do black hair, just say that instead of wasting my time. I should have know the end result was going to be horrible.

The reviews seemed to be good and that’s why I decided to try this place out. Nothing too terrible but a few complaints. The vibe overall seemed a little unwelcoming and negative. I usually go to Up and Out and they’re pretty amazing/positive so maybe that’s the vibe that I’m used to. My hair didn’t feel properly washed to be honest because it was very rushed. I had also specified that my hair is heavy so it tends to weigh down. Instead of keeping this in mind, the styling I got was curls at the bottom of my hair instead of waves in the middle of my hair - repeating the exact same issue I had mentioned prior. I would’ve asked her to tweak the styling had I been seated in front of a mirror like salons typically do. Instead, I was facing the reception table and their computer. I was only shown a mirror after the styling was complete when it was too late to make any adjustments. Overall, nothing I can’t live with but I won’t be going back to this place for sure. Maybe this was an outlier experience so I recommend you to try this place out either way.Service: Hairstyling

Best place to get your hair done and the staff is awesome!

They took me last minute for a blow out. Sarah was delightful. Friendly and sweet but not overly chatty. She did a pro job and very quickly. Was $49 for a blowout.

I had an excellent experience with this salon a year ago helping me to look my best for an event. So, I came back this year and couldn’t be more disappointed. The stylist had very little experience with formal hair and it turned out terrible. I tried working with her to fix it but ultimately had to just take it down at home and redo it. Certainly not time that I had accounted to do my own hair so I was late to the event. The stylist was nice but her work just wasn’t considering the $95 I spent to go home and do my own hair. When I took it down at home by the way, I realized she had even used blonde colored pins throughout my nearly black hair. I will not be back.

Such a great spot. My hair looked amazing and it only took 40 minutes considering I have long hair. The stylist advised on a look I should go for without getting annoyed that I wanted advice and I was super happy.

I have been coming and getting serviced here for a while now and I can say I have no complaints. I have got my makeup and hair done on different occasions and LOVE IT ! The stylist are great !!
