This place is a hidden gem! I was looking to just get my hair blow dried once back over a year ago and now I go 2-3 times per month. The consistency is key. I can always count on Mason and Lisa to do a stellar blow dry. Other blow dry bars have under-skilled and really new staff, but not here. I’ve also seen incredible extensions and bridal styling done here. Would 100% recommend!Services: Haircut
We had a great experience getting the beachy blowout for my daughter to attend Homecoming without an updo. She had movie star hair for the night. Would recommend for special occasions and for anyone who wants that extra polish with your hair down.
I used to frequent this place at least twice a week. But I will never visit again and neither should you. I had my hair colored at the on-site salon; the job was botched, like need to wear a hat botched. What was supposed to be blonde highlights was blotchy, green and gray. Absolutely terrible. I called to ask if I could make another appointment - I’m willing to pay full price- just need to get it fixed. I was told the woman who did my hair quit and I’d have to speak to the owner. I left 3 messages and the owner never called me back. I didn’t even ask for anything but an appointment - can you imagine if I’d asked for a discount? The owner is known to not pay her employees and bank their tips, I’ve heard it from everyone who has done my hair. The “tips included” was just a way for her to raise prices. For a female owner business- I’d expect more. Take responsibility for your business, be respectful of your clients who have spent thousands at your locations and pay your employees.
I get blowouts once a week. While I was in town visiting, I decided to try this place. Left with wet hair. Poor experience. Hair stylist needs more training.Service: Hairstyling
If you want to be charged full salon price for mediocre blowout and leave with frizzy, missed chunk of hair without proper brushing and damp scalp, come here! The back of my hair is not even smooth, all they did is blast a HIGH heat to the point my hair cuticles didn’t seal and ended up puffy! The lady said “I can run a flat iron” NO! When I go for a proper blowout, I need a proper blowout, don’t add flat iron because this is what a mediocre would do. A professional blowout would be unfrizzy, shinny, closed cuticles and smooth with no need for flat iron. I rushed home to fix what the lady did, something you shouldn’t be doing after spending $47. I didn’t like how they all saw how unhappy I was with my hair, they don’t care about developing steady relationships with their clients. If they carried on with this practice, this business will be basically in and never again! Their stylists need a lot of training. Please go somewhere else, save yourself the hassle. I went to my party very upset about this horrible experience.
I just payed for a blow out and didn't even get my hair blow dryed. My hair was slightly damp from taking a shower yesterday, and she just started styling my day old hair. I would've been okay with this if it was cheaper than a blowout, but they charged me the same price. This is the worst experience I've ever had. I am 4 hours after my appointment writing this post and realizing I have flat, hair spray crisped, dry straight hair after she was supposed to give me a blow out and a curl. Would not recommend this salon.
I went to Blowout before Homecoming. I had my hair and makeup done for a 60's themed dance. It looked amazing. The stylist helped me put a headband to create a really cute style. My makeup was amazing...she was really able to capture the look with my eye makeup. I could have NEVER done such a great job as they did. Stylist have great ideas about how to do your hair if you ask them. Thanks Blowout for making me feel beautiful and making getting ready for my dance so fun!
We had a small bridal party to go to the Portland blowout location for hair and make-up. The stylist did a great job of asking each person questions to help them better understand what they were looking for. The bride and her daughter were thrilled with the results. They had two very different styles in mind, and these stylists followed their vision and made them feel beautiful.
My stylist did an awesome job! I really don't like the tip situation, though. It's mentioned on the website that they have instituted an automatic 18% gratuity, and that you shouldn't feel obligated to tip, but they don't mention it at all in the salon and when I asked about it, the answer was "it goes to pay my hourly wage." But there's still a tip line on the receipt and palpable pressure to tip in addition to the "gratuity." I would have had a much better experience and would have tipped MORE if this "gratuity" didn't exist. It just seems like a ploy to help line the owner's pockets.
Don't bother wasting your money. I came here last weekend for one of my sister's bachelorette party activities. There were 6 of us, 4 scheduled at 1 and 2 at 1:45, since they couldn't fit us all in at once. That is fine, but their time schedules were way off and the last of us ended up not even getting started until well past 2 and we all had to wait behind and she felt bad and rushed to catch up to us. That wasn't my biggest problem though. Their flyers and brochures say that their service is $40 for a wash, blowout and style... thats fine, I figured I would suck it up for the party. I told the girl I would like my hair curly, but that I was concerned because it is finicky with holding curl and asked if their hairspray would hold. She guaranteed that it would, and suggested that I skip the wash and blow-dry because dirty hair will hold curl better. Okay I thought... maybe I will save some $$ too. Great! Well... she spent 10 minutes or less... NO JOKE... curling my hair worse than I can do myself... and called it good. And then proceeded to charge me 47 DOLLARS. Are you kidding me? I didn't get half the service, but "they charge the same whether you wash or not." If I had known that I would have done the works and said screw the girls do something else. I asked where the $7 came from and the mystery solved... they have a service charge they don't advertise to cover the stylist's hourly wage. Seriously... that didn't even include tip. So I walked out $51 more broke... with curls that didn't even hold 10 minutes after I left. WASTE OF MONEY. My mom tried talking to the owner but she was rude and didn't show any remorse for the situation, the unadvertised services fees, or the fact that they were off schedule and threw off the rest of our party. I will make sure this review gets posted anywhere and everywhere because it is poor practice and I don't want anyone else to get scammed like we did. DON'T BOTHER.
