We are so blessed to live in such a close knit neighborhood where the neighbors genuinely care for each other. I wish I could say the same about the blue hills neighborhood association! Being community orientated, when we found out about the plant sale we asked if we could participate and give 25% of our planter sales back to the neighborhood we have come to love. We wanted to help raise funds for the community center and after school programs that Magnus would benefit from when he grows up. Unfortunately, the treasurer doesn't support local business that live in Blue Hills... Unless you have paid your dues! Our donation would have likely been more that the 15.00 membership fee! We had planned on joining once we were on our feet, but now want no part in a neighborhood association that doesn't care about the people in the neighborhood. Why would we pay dues to an association that refuses donations and help. I thought a treasurers job was to bring money into the community, not refuse it because we are new to said community.

This is a great organization whose members are committed to serving as leaders and role models so the neighborhood can transition to a stable, safe, clean area with responsible homeowners and landlords. I am so happy to have these men and women as my friends and neighbors.
