Blue Spark is a fun place to hang out with former punk rock kids who are excellent barbers. All four are flexible and easy to schedule with. Check them out if you haven't already. Ask Bill to show you what he looked like with long hair while you're there.

I am an individual who look at barbers and beauticians as much of an important part of life as I do my main physician, surgeons, and even mechanic. When you find a good one, you want to keep them as opposed to being a Guinea pig and tester for all the others you run to haphazardly just to get it done.  My previous barber ended up being a victim of addiction.  While my sympathies are in the right place, I had to find a new individual to replace him which means, yeah, going here and there, haphazardly, like a willing test dummy, in order to find a good replacement.  Then I found Blue Spark.  This is a space with some eclectic and friendly characters, softened by the artful imagery of one resident stylist, Erin. Very creative personality representing just the tip of the atmosphere experienced here. This place has 4  professional individuals with a conversation and know how to satisfy any walking individual needing attention to their hair. If you are looking for a barber shop, I highly suggest Blue Spark. I'm a picky, VERY picky guy. THis place ended my miserable search for a quality cut every time. For those like me  who need a good, reliable, barber, and employs the idea of taking the time for choosing, you MUST go as a walk-in in order to have time to observe them, then choose who you are drawn to first. This is a normal process. It is best early during the weekday. Afterwards, I highly suggest making an appointment on line. If you try doing the walk-in as a regular thing, you are more than likely to find your wait rather lengthy. They are that good!

As you can see by stellar reviews Blue Spark is the place to go. Was lucky & got last minute APPT w/Erin. Bill is a Pro & hires talented stylist. His business thrives because of it!

All the barbers are phenomenal. Very welcoming, great neighborhood place and super friendly for LGBTQIA+ folk.

Bill and the crew are wonderful. All of the barbers are great. My fiancé has had each one cut his hair and have liked all of their talents. He can be very picky and each has worked with him to make him happy. This makes me happy.

Bill is a pro. He works quickly and efficiently and makes great conversation. The shop has an atmosphere which I like a lot - no TV blasting or overly loud music.  As for getting a haircut in a pandemic the barbers were masked as were the customers. I will be going again!

Best barbershop in Baltimore. Bill and Steve are hands down the finest barbers who have ever cut my hair.  I would recommend that anyone who hasn't found the right place yet for their haircut should seriously consider making an appointment at Blue Spark and giving it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Bill and Blue Spark are hands down the best barbershop that I have ever frequented. Nobody has ever given me a better haircut or kept my beard trimmed like Bill. Bill is also now a dear friend and the official Barber of my charity Shave Dave. Generous to a fault and community minded, Blue Spark is simply the best.
