Story

Bluebird Gap Farm offers an exciting, family-oriented adventure and educational experience rarely see in an urban environment. This 60-acre farm has over 150 domestic and wild animals, including everything from farm animals, to a Red-tailed Hawk, Great-horned Owls, whitetail deer, tortoise, an emu, alpacas, llamas, and peafowl.

Our Powhatan Pavilion can seat about 100 people and has a charcoal grill (user must provide own charcoal). This shelter is available for half and full day reservations. Other picnic tables are placed throughout the farm for guest's convenience.

The antique display barn features snack and drink vending machines and an information kiosk.

Please do not bring in your own food for the animals. Animal feed machines are located in several locations for those wanting a more 'interactive' experience (don’t forget your quarters!).

Visitors can also enjoy the Hampton Master Gardeners' Display Garden and Arboretum, a large playground with plenty of benches for the adults to sit and watch, public restrooms, a nature trail, an amphitheater with seating for special events and activities.
