Bluejacket was built to be a brewery without boundaries, allowing Beer Director Greg Engert, Head Brewer Josh Chapman and their team to create beers across the broadest range of styles and flavors possible. At Bluejacket, understanding of and respect for the traditions and techniques of classic brewing coexist with a spirit of constant experimentation, innovation, and collaboration, leading to delicious beers that showcase seasonality, culinary inspiration, and historic interpretation. Expect beers that range from intensely flavored to subtly nuanced; that offer something distinctive and satisfying for every palate and every plate; and that reflect equally the past, present, and future of genuine craft brewing. Soon, the brewery will begin shipping to carefully selected restaurants, bars, and retail outlets throughout the region.

Bluejacket’s home restaurant and bar, the Arsenal, features a constantly rotating selection of twenty Bluejacket beers and five Bluejacket cask ales, all poured at the appropriate temperature, and served in the proper glassware. The menu updates, refines and extends the classic fare of beer halls and public houses by featuring the best locally sourced products available and highlighting reinterpretations of hearty classics such as steamed mussels, artisanal sausages and more. Gourmet sandwiches, seasonal salads & vegetables, alongside approachable bar snacks are the perfect accompaniments to a signature Bluejacket brew.

The space that Bluejacket occupies is as distinctive as the brewery itself. Built in 1919, the building—known as the Boilermaker Shops—was part of the Navy Yards ship and munitions manufacturing complex, and it is one of the few true, industrial buildings remaining in Washington, DC. We hope you find it as inspiring as we do as we add a new, very different chapter to its manufacturing history.

Our server was great. Very friendly and attentive. The Roasted Pork Sandwich was awesome and the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Mumbo Sauce was simply delicious. Cool atmosphere
Great place for sports bars and good beers lovers. Straight from the tank, everything is brewed here with a great variety of options. The place must be buzzing on match days. Large screens everywhere and good atmosphere. Didn’t try the food. They have merch as well. Great spot
Great brewery! Delicious food tater tots are a must and delicious IPAs! It was a little hard to flag down the waitress to order more beer, but that’s bound to happen when someplace is busy! Great place, and definitely will be back.
We loved eating and drinking here! We ordered a bunch of beers to try and they were all so good. The food was all so good, and the tater tots are a MUST!! Best tater tots ever!! The place is really well done inside with lots of seating and with a good brewery aesthetic. Classic bar food like sandwichs, burgers, and an assortment of fried foods, all really high quality and delicious. They were playing a lot of sports games on the TVs and people were coming in to watch. You order from a QR code at the table which is super convenient and we got to order more food as we sat. Staff were very attentive and helpful. 4 pack beers are available to go. Definitely will be coming back!
Visited in October 2014. A spacious and inviting brewpub with an extensive selection of excellent brews. The service was prompt and exceptionally friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the beers. Definitely worth a visit.
First, service was friendly and prompt, food was good. Facility was huge and impressive. The downside, not terribly impressed with the beer lineup or the ones I tried. May be unfair after one visit but not my first brewery.
This place is wonderful! The beer is fantastic! I recommend the El Honcho! The Italian Sandwich with the tots was delicious get the ranch for dipping! The steak and frites was alright but not worth it definitely get the sandwich! The atmosphere is perfect for a mid day drink and/or a relaxing evening in the Navy Yard! The Yard Park is less than a 5 minute walk away to spend the rest of your night or to work off some of those tots! If you are in Navy Yard this should be on your list!
Best craft beer I’ve drunk in the US coming from England. Their flagship beer Lost Weekend is tropical and hazy and incredibly delicious and reminiscent of the best Deya and Verdant IPAs the UK has to offer. An amazing, unmissable place and the reviews are true: their tator tots with cheese sauce is the best beer snack ever!
Came here for a late lunch and ate indoors, nice space inside and outside. Brewery had their own beer options and food was good. Service was subpar and their ordering system is not ideal via QR. I have to agree with other reviewers that it felt like ordering carry out and getting it served to your table. We had part of order forgotten, so not great paying for bill and tip in advance.
Really nice spot right by the National's stadium. The burgers are great and they have a nice selection of microbrews. I liked the QR code for the menu and ordering process. It let's you customize exactly how you want so you know your meal is ordered and prepared right. You go ahead and pay at the same time along woth the tip which can be a problem if the food and service aren't great. My experience was great food and awesome service so no need to worry. The atmosphere is bar/pub like and feels very come and go as you are.
