Bob Wasabi Kitchen

I am a born and raised Japanese American. Who loves sushi and has had it in Japan and in the states in many locations over many years. And with that said I was not very impressed with the food. Although decent I thought it was extremely over priced for what you get. I do understand that getting fresh fish in the middle of Kansas is costly. But for the price there are many other sushi establishments that are just as good if not better. And on a personal note servers should really get out of the habit of correcting somebody's pronunciation of the Japanese language. Especially when its that person's native language they've been speaking for over 30 years. I get that you don't speak Japanese but if your gonna charge that much for it I think you should at least be able to say it the right way.

Enjoyed the servers, they were friendly and very helpful. For being a small place it has a fun and great atmosphere. The sushi is delicious and it comes to you quick.

Really good sushi if you know what to pick and what you like. The salmon nigiri is like butter in your mouth it's so good. Presentation is a little rustic though.

Hands down the best sushi and nigiri in Kansas City. You will pay more here than other places but the return on the portion and quality is so worth it. Bob, the chef and owner, is a true master at his craft. We've always received great service and good recommendations from the staff.

I was blown away by this place! Such an unassuming storefront which opens into a space that is funky and welcoming, warm and fun. The exposed brick is charming, and the fact that you can see your sushi being made literally feet away from any table in the house is great. Also, get the dang tempura ice cream. You can thank me later.
