This place is amazing and the chef here is awesome. Don't sleep on this place. I popped in here for a few brews and wound up catching a live show and diving on some oysters that were waaayyyy too good to be bar food. Also had ceviche for the first time here and I strongly recommend it. Bartenders and chef are top dollar. This is the spot.
Support this amazing restaurant!! This became my favorite neighborhood spot in 2020 so naturally they were my go-to location for an intimate product launch with my company this year. The staff was so accommodating, and all of my guests were in awe by how good the food and drinks were! Did I mention how good the cocktails are?!! The bartenders were a joy, so some even stayed behind to enjoy more drinks and the ambiance that night they had live music. I am so passionate about supporting this place because I think it’s one of the best restaurant/bar if not the best in the area! AND DONT LEAVE WITHOUT GETTING OYSTERS!
A few weekends ago, I visited a coworker in Brooklyn and stumbled upon this gem while exploring the Bed-Stuy neighborhood. The ambiance was intimate and relaxing with soulful music filling the air. The waitress/bartender was welcoming, providing top-notch customer service and recommending best selling menu items. I decided on medium temperature steak with over hard eggs, 12 raw oysters, a side of pork belly and 4 drinks. Gluttonous, I know! The meal was delectable and served fresh. Plus, I received my meal in less than 20 minutes, which was a plus because I was starving. Surprisingly, the prices were affordable. I'd def visit again, and I highly recommend.
Started coming to this place during the pandemic. EXCELLENT cocktails! Since, I've come by for a quick snack, most recently with a couple of friends and tried a few other things in addition to drinks. We got the burritos with plantain inside, YUM....but...let's talk condiments. Who doesn't love to put hot sauce and sour cream inside their burrito?! If you don't, then don't have any I guess. But this was the stingiest portion of hot sauce and sour cream I've EVER seen legit a tablespoon...maybe 2, designed for 1 taco. It was almost comical. ALMOST...because what makes it NOT comical is that they charge you for more, and the reason for the stingy portion is because they don't want it to be wasted. I have an idea, just ask people if they want hot sauce, or no? It's freaking Cholula for crying out loud. No way this will affect your bottom line. They need to cut it out.
I went on a Monday and they had happy hour all night with $5 cocktails. The patrons were so nice! I was standing talking to my friend for a while and a young lady came up to me and gave me a seat! Without me asking. I am just disappointed that I missed the patio on the roof. It closes at 11pm. Well it gives me another reason to go back. I went because I saw a meet up to sketch and listen to jazz but I got my dates mixed up any goo it’s a cute little bar!
Very nice deco, poor service. Only one bartender... the one with the moustache made it slightly fun. The DJ was a disaster with an attitude. This place could be a lot nicer with a better DJ cause the one who played on Friday 2 of August 2019 sucks. But one of my drinks was good mainly the reason of my 3 stars and the bartender was nice.
I performed a drag show here. The space is intimate and definitely sets the mood. The bar tenders were really kind and the drinks were delicious. 12/10 i wish i could give it more stars!
Love the space the music, amazing service, the drinks delicious, they have non alcoholic drinks too, and the food so delicious, love it !
Went last night to this Bar with family we were celebrating a graduation. Traveled all the way from Texas to be treated like we were pests and then told we weren’t being served because we didn’t tip the Bartender, despite not even getting our drink order in the first place. Little back story. Went into the bar to have a good time and explore the bar scene here in Brooklyn. We came as a group of four. My sister her Boyfriend, my girlfriend and I. While inside we did our own thing. We wanted to drink so i told my girlfriend to go order us some drinks, my sister and her boyfriend had already ordered one round for themselves. Well anyways my Girlfriend stood waiting for at least 10 minutes before the Bartender even acknowledged her and took her drink order. It was pretty busy and i noticed there was only one Bartender. Anyways he took our order and we sat waiting yet again. After what seemed another 10minutes i went to the Bar where my Girlfriend was waiting to ask what was wrong and why it was taking this long. She said it was just busy. I stood there waiting for what seemed like five more minutes. In that time he kept getting more orders and he would immediately give the other people their drinks. So he was basically skipping our order. I finally hailed him over and asked him if he forgot our drink order. He immediately said without grace that he was not making our drinks because we didn’t tip him. I was so surprised to even hear that. At this point i got upset because he stood there disrespecting my S/o. Making her wait there like an idiot for drinks that were never even going to be made. I was angry, i went over to tell him that he has no right to say that to us. As guests in the bar all we wanted was to have a good time. I was confused why he was saying we had to tip him when we hadn’t even gotten our drink orders. Turns out he meant that my Sister and her Boyfriend had not tipped him YET after they ordered their first round. So basically wanted us to tip him for their order before he got us our own order. We were Wanting to stay there the whole night talking and having a good time but after that we just left. I told him i wanted to talk to the manager because I don’t think you should treat people that way. All i was told was that “there is no manager” in his words. Loved the vintage look in the bar, too bad the Bartender decided to treat us that way, had really good potential. My family owns a restaurant so i understand tipping is their wage but at the same time you have to do your job and try to be respectful to guests in the restaurant.
Excellent spot for drinks in Bushwick! The staff is really friendly and the ambiance feels like a speakeasy with the entrance just off busy Broadway. I haven't checked out the roof top yet, but I can't wait to see it when spring comes around!
