Bonchon - Cambridge

Last night’s dinner was so spicy, but delicious! To start with we had takoyaki, spicy wings and strips and spicy fried squid. The hotter the better am I right?! The takoyaki practically melted in my mouth and each bite was just delicious. Bites of octopus, so yummy. The wings and strips were so good! I’ve never had the strips and highly recommend them! Perfectly fried, not fried and full of flavor and spice. Their calamari was okay, I personally don’t like sauce on my calamari. I’m more of a sauce on the side kind of person. All in all it was a great meal!

Went to Bonchon Cambridge to get some Korean fried chicken for lunch two days ago. Chicken was moist and coating was thin and crispy as I love it albeit the fact that it was greasier than the NYC branches. Still satisfied my craving for Korean fried chicken though. The place is currently under renovation so that they only do take outs but the ladies who served me were really friendly and we discussed soju flavors while I waited for my food. They even gifted me a can of soda. Definitely had great customer service!

They never mentioned it is only open for a takeout as of today. We came from South station all the way to dine in for the Korean style chicken and other stews, only to find Bonchon chicken is just for takeout/pickup customers only. Their posters at the building entrance never mentioned it is takeout only and no table services. After walking down to the basement, with a disabled elderly, we saw another posting that says it is "takeout only" scribbled on a paper while the tables and chairs are stacked and pushed aside. The in pickup desk barricaded their glass front. I hate their misleading and cheapened operation. Literally it is a mere hole in the wall type of cheap setting at best in a sterile basement. And none of them was apologetic.

Order food online, but never received it, call the Bonchon, the lady said it was Door Dash's fault, then I called Door Dash, cannot find the driver any more, Door Dash said the driver drove to the destination, but the driver didn't call the customer, neither took a picture of the food was delivered. How can you trust the Bonchon next time? even the store cannot guarantee the food will or will not be delivered. After talking to Door Dash, call the Bonchon, no one answered the phone!!! Basically they waist my valuable time, and money!!!

Spicy wings are the best! The food was super appetizing and good.

Enjoyed bulgogi Korean tacos and the mix of wings. Favorite is the soy garlic. We had some issues ordering but it was likely Uber Eats’ issue. Eventually arrived. Worth the wait!

I don’t eat wings very often but I have to say these wings were amazing and maybe the best I ever had. There only two flavors for wings: 1soy-garlic 2hot. I got a small order 10 pieces half soy garlic half hot wings to try both. They were so crispy and tasty. When I do go back though I would probably ask for a little extra sauce as they were a little dry and could have used more.

Been a loyal customer since freshman year. The chicken is always hot and fresh and the soy garlic sauce is addictive. The staff is also very nice. It was top of the list to visit when I came back. Sad to see the prices increased over the pandemic but it's great they survived that and the Harvard Square purge.

Loved the place. The staff was very friendly, and the food delicious. It really lived up to the Korean fried chicken name, and the sides were really delicious. If I move to Boston, this will definitely be one of the restaurants on heavy rotation for me. 10/10 would go again.

Was a little nervous when I saw the place the setting is a dim basement area, but really liked my food. I got the classic bibimbap, which a great assortment of veggies and a runny egg with white rice. The spicy chili sauce that comes with it was so savory and delicious--I liked how they put a bottle out on the table so you could add as much as you wanted. Service was fast and friendly. Would come again!
