I would give it a 5 star however the line was long and took 30-45 minutes from 4th on one side. I’m no barista but my girlfriend was and she said it was ridiculous when she seen one coffee be handed out the window after a 7 minute wait for her drink alone there were two workers.
Gave me a cold breakfast burrito, Didn’t realized until I drove off. Ruined my breakfast : I had ordered a chocolate frappe, Hot white chocolate mocha with hazelnut, A cinnamon roll and a brownie. She charged me and gave me 4/5 items. She said okay that’s everything. I asked about the burrito and she had forgotten I ordered one. She charged me for it and a few minutes later gave me a burrito. I drove off and parked and felt the burrito. It was ice cold in the middle. So will not be returning there
The barista was incredibly sweet. I have never been here and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. I'm only here for 10 days but will definitely be back!
I was previously a lotus fanatic for years until I discovered their Iced Vanilla Chai. It’s sweet and delicious both in the cold winter months and hot summer nights. The service is always excellent, and the young men who work the late evening shift have NEVER led me astray when I ask about new cold drinks to try. My recent favorite has been the frozen fruit punch lemonade for those who are looking for a drink with no caffeine. For hot beverages, my go to’s have always been safe choices like a WCM or white hot chocolate. I’ve even added CBD scoops to the hot drinks and 10/10 recommend. Boom has become a family tradition of ours, I’ve taken people straight to this stand after they’ve had a night of partying to refuel, I’ve driven family and friends from out of state to Boom right after a long flight or heading on a red eye out of town. Even for myself, I make sure I add on some extra time to get a drink before road trips to Homer, Seward, Kenai, Girdwood, etc. Don’t let the wait times deter you from going here, it’s well worth the wait. Alaska has great coffee and Boom is right up there with Cafe D’Arte and Kaladi Brothers, in my opinion.
Favorite place to get coffee in town any time of day would recommend to anybody has several specials and is always very very friendly, extremely flavourful and enjoyable any time of the day.Food: 5/5
Day dream lotis is my favorite with their amazing whip cream but no cream inside since I love the whip on top: sooooo good and the people who work there are so kind!
Awesome people, tasty drinks. highly recommend. They're open early too, for any early morning workers.Food: 5/5
One of my best smoothie places for when it's late into the evening. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality Food: 5/5
It’s a pretty popular coffee shack in anchorage. However, it’s pretty clear that the baristas have no real expertise in coffee making. They make any other drinks really good, the shakes, the smoothies, the red bull soda drinks..however, they lack basic barista knowledge. Their cold brew taste incredibly sour and bitter and has a horrible after taste. They either over or under extract it. After drinking it my stomach had an almost immediate reaction. I think it’s just an over rated and hyped up coffee is shack, but it doesn’t have any value coffee wise. They put so much more effort and time into all other sugary drinks. If you’re looking for a good latte or cold brew, this isn’t the place. Also wait times are ridiculous. Save yourself the trip if you’re looking for a good quality latte.
Favorite coffee shop in town! Never have I ever had an issue here. The pace is timed well, the employees are always kind and genuine, they always do a good job on the coffee too! I've had hot coffees, mochas, frappes, lattes, red bull smoothies, lotus smoothies, Italian soda, you name it and I've never been dissatisfied! Best coffee shop in town!
