I will start off by saying “wow what an amazing establishment”. I moved to Philly 2 years ago and needed someone to do my eyebrows. Bossy brow was fully booked I know why now lol, so I went to a different establishment and I had a bad experience. Finally, a spot opened up for bossy brow. Onisha owner did my eyebrows and she did an amazing job. She was easy to talk to, location was cleaned, beautiful, and she wore a mask. I have officially found my eyebrow lady. I’ve been going to Bossy Brows for over 5 years now!! The owner Onisha is always pleasant and professional! And always filled with so much joy! She takes her profession seriously so that she can give us women the extra ummmmpppphhhh we need sometimes in this hectic world. My brows are still beautiful after almost 18 months. I just went over to her IG to book a reboost of my color because I like being extra crisp and bossy! Onisha is professional, knowledgeable and full of light. She took time to match my brow shade perfectly for my complexion! I can’t wait to see her for my touch-up. I went to Bossy Brows for years for eyebrow arching. Even when the price went to $45 for a simple arch and tint, I continued to go. I referred my sister for ombré over two years ago. She got them refreshed earlier this year. There is a subtle part of her eyebrow where consistent pressure was not applied. I don’t need to be an “expert” to see the shading was not done properly at her visit. My sister contacted her and she was advised there was a $99 “assessment” fee. A fee to correct what you didn’t do properly?? As I had a relationship with the owner and I anticipated the convo would go left, I decided to contact her. Overall, a disappointing conversation. Passive aggressive. Not owning her work. Claiming she advises clients “it’s art”. So you want compliments all the time but when advised of a service not don’t properly you say it’s art like my sister’s face is a gallery. She didn’t even want to see a picture. Her “assessment” fee to set up a tray. Any other business would absorb the cost. She decided to refund my sister a portion of the total cost and send her on her way. So a business owner who trains others decided to refund a cost but not take ownership of her work? In the beginning, she was good and the minor premium in price was acceptable. Now, her prices are outrageous, her work not at the level it once was and her customer service, I witnessed first hand, is disgusting. She was arguing with me and didn’t want to see my point or at least compromise. And as the owner, the decision stops with her. No escalation and she knows it. Trust me it’s not the cost, it’s the principle. I wholeheartedly do not recommend. Being wrong and strong won’t sustain a successful business. And now with our economy, I won’t pay a premium money or recommend a business for poor customer service. A friend did ombré in February. I recommended her business. She saw the prices and she said no thank you. Now, my sister and I will both say “No, thank you”.

I’ve been interested in microblading for a while, but a bit apprehensive about undergoing a permanent procedure. After lots of research I knew I had to go with Bossy Brows. I was so impressed by other services I’ve had and her client pictures and testimonials for her ombré brow. The studio is beautiful and inviting and she took the time to go over the procedure thoroughly and answer all of my questions. The mapping and drawing session was detailed, precise and perfectly custom for my brow and face shape. The procedure itself wasn’t painful even though I had prepared myself for it to be. My brows are now a work of art and I can’t thank Onisha enough for saving me hundreds of hours in drawingmy own brows.

I had a fantastic experience with Bossy Brows and am super pleased with the results. As a person with a very pale complexion, who rarely wears face makeup, and who is drawn to a very subtle natural brow shape, I was a little nervous that having my brows micro-shaded would produce an overly made-up look or that the arch wouldn’t look natural. Oneisha worked with me patiently and thoughtfully to understand the look I was going for and whether or not microshading was a fit for my needs filling in patchy spots, creating a more effortless “natural” perfect brow arch. The end result is incredibly beautiful and subtle, just the way I wanted and better than I hoped. It brings me genuine pleasure to see how the very subtle adjustments she made to my natural shape really help to make my eyes pop, and the places where my brows were patchy are perfectly filled in. I have already recommended Bossy Brows to several friends, and I will continue to sing her praises. It is absolutely worth taking the leap if you’ve been thinking about microblading or microshading and worried about making sure you get the right person.
