I’ve been living in Iowa for the last 13 years but I’m originally from Peabody and this was by far the best Boston tour I’ve ever been on. “Big” Al was amazing. He was funny. Informative. A true Boston accent. It was awesome. 2 thumbs up. Brightest rating possible given! Well worth the time and money. Loved it.
We absolutely loved the pizza tour and Big Al was seriously the best!! My son is 11 and he loved it! What a fun way to experience the north end and learn some history while doing it! The pizza was delicious and spread out nicely throughout the tour and the free cannoli from Modern Pastry was the perfect way to wrap up the day. Highly recommend Big Al as a guide and the pizza tour of the north end!
We had a great tour with Martin! He was fun, knowledgeable, and patient with our camp kids! Ernesto's was everyone's favorite! What a great experience!
An engaging, varied, and informative tour filled with rich history told by a very knowledgeable guide. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour!
We had a great time with Big Al! We got to sample the three most popular pizza tours and learn history along the way. I wasn’t expecting such thorough history tour. It’s a fun way to cover the freedom trail on the North End.
Our tour guide, Big Al was awesome! We had a group of 7 family members ranging in age from 10 to 50. We visited 3 pizza places and stops along the way through the North End. Even though we are locals, we thoroughly enjoyed Al's enthusiasm, historical tidbits and the spots he brought us through were great. We felt like locals...highly recommend and would do this tour again! Cannollis were also amazing!
Scottie Lombardo was extremely knowledgeable about North End and Boston history. The pizza was great as were the Modern Bakery cannoli’s. This is a bucket list tour for families looking for a great eating tour while in Boston! We loved Ernesto’s! We are going back to the North End for Mike’s Pasty and maybe another slice from Ernesto’s.
WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE! This carefully planned tour combines history with the best food from FAMILY OWNED GEMS on the north side. Our guide was excellent, combining his knowledge of history with an incredible wit. My sons and I truly enjoyed this tour. What better way to get to know a place than to take a food tour! When you add the history in Boston, it is a great combination! We all agree that , of all the wonderful food we have enjoyed on our trip, this tour was THE BEST!
My husband and I had a wonderful time with Alvin on the Historic Taverns Tour! It was a perfect mix of history, good food, and drinks. Alvin made it so much fun! He was informative, funny, and just an all around nice guy. Take this tour! You will love it!
We had family visiting from out of state and decided to try a pizza tour to show them some of our city. We hit the jackpot with Alvin! We had so much fun, learned some history and ate some delicious pizza! Alvin was so knowledgeable, was great with the children and took us at a great pace to get through everything but manage the July heat! I would highly recommend this tour!
