We travelled from miles away just to see the Boston Stone. To finally see it in person was such a huge moment for us. Make sure to budget time for waiting in line for photos, it was about a 20 minute wait in line for us. The energy in the crowd of fellow Boston Stone lovers was intoxicating. My only regret is that I’m already married, otherwise I would have proposed here.

Truly a magical experience. The Boston Stone will forever be the most cherished memory my boyfriend and I share. It was an absolute honor to gaze upon this historic legend. Armed with a sense of curiosity and google in hand, we wandered through the charming cobblestone streets of the city. The air was filled with the chatter of fellow travelers and the enticing aroma of food from street vendors. As we arrived at the Boston Stone, we couldn't help but marvel at the significance it held. This simple slab of rock, embedded in the ground, was a silent witness to centuries of history. We learned that it was once part of a larger millstone brought to Boston by settlers in the early 1600s. It had served as a milestone, marking the distance to other colonial towns and cities, and had even been used as a pulpit for public speeches. As we ran my fingers over the weathered surface, we felt a connection to the generations that had stood where we were standing, their dreams, aspirations, and challenges echoing through time. The Boston Stone seemed to tell a story of resilience, growth, and transformation, mirroring the city itself. Leaving the stone behind, we continued to explore Boston, walking along the Freedom Trail, and soaking in the rich history that surrounded us. As the sun set behind the city skyline, we realized that our visit to the Boston Stone had been more than just a trip—it had been a journey back in time, a way to grasp the threads of history that had woven the fabric of the city we were standing in. And as we walked away, we carried with us not only the memories of that day but also a deeper appreciation for the stories that even the simplest of stones can tell.

The Boston Stone... where do I even begin? This sacred site isn’t just any old stone, it is a cultural reset, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. It is art, the first gift you open on Christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you’ve ever wanted, everything you need . A life-changing experience. Following my visit to this promised land, I gained a fresh outlook on the incredible beauty of human existence. We are spirits, trapped in the body of an animal, and we have no clue why, so we make a whole society and drive ourselves to unhappiness by working a job we don't want to do and living in an unnatural and ugly city. We then buy a bunch of material possessions that distracts us from the fact we don't have a true purpose. We still don't even know why we are here and literally nothing matters but we all just go along with it anyway even knowing all of this. I am interested in the concept of death, not because I am sad or anything, more just I am very very very curious what happens. My only complaint is that they missed the opportunity to call it the "Bostone." Anyways, if you're in the area definitely check this place out.

The Boston Stone has fallen on hard times. Filth and garbage from the nearby ware peddlers make this a stop you should almost certainly skip!!!

The Boston Stone has captivated locals and tourists alike with its rich history - as late as the twentieth century, surveyors often referenced this millstone as the geological center of Boston Proper. One particular group of fans, known affectionately as the “Boston Stonies,” are known to congregate near the Stone on weekday nights. I ran into some on my visit and they bought me a drink at Dirty Nelly’s! I’m so glad that the people of Boston have turned this humble piece of rock into a literal cornerstone of the city culture.

I stumbled upon this seemingly insignificant stone a few years ago while sightseeing Boston during a college visit trip. Years later, I now know that this wasn't some chance encounter. Who's to say what exactly led me that way; perhaps it was fate, maybe destiny, or possibly even a glitch in the simulation. But suffice to say, coming across this stone not a rock!!! changed my life in ways I could never put into words on a Google Review. If you're in Boston, drop everything and pay a visit to this national treasure, you won't regret it.

As an immigrant, achieving the American Dream has always been a big goal of my life, but I never thought it would be likely. However, after all these years, I’ve finally realized that the American Dream is not a mentality, but a place — and that place is a little gray millstone just off the beaten path in the heart of Boston. I cried streams of joy in awe, it was an incredible experience. If you are a foreigner visiting America or an immigrant like me, I would highly recommend seeing this hidden gem.
