I went to Jaime at Boston Union Realty to find an apartment for my daughter and her roommates. It was our first off-campus rental in Boston. We wanted a clean apartment that was close to classes, and in a safe neighborhood. As housing in Boston is in high demand, things can move quickly, so it is critical that your agent can move quickly as well. Jaime’s experience and knowledge of the area helped immensely in finding us apartments that met our needs. She arranged for us to see multiple apartments on the same day, which was extremely convenient. She also helped guide us in narrowing down our options. We were able to view, come to a decision, and fill out the paperwork all in one day. We left with an amazing apartment! She coordinated with all the girls for payments and signatures for the lease, and it was done! With so many girls some in other states and our busy schedules, it was amazing Jaime was able to get it all done for us. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her for my son’s apartment next year!
I rented through a different company but Boston Union Realty is showing it now. They showed up to the apartment with no notice. I was at work and the other tenant was at home sick. Imagine her surprise when a party of people come in unannounced. The person showing the people around lied and said he had gotten in contact with me. Once I finished work I saw I had a voicemail at 4:12 saying they will be by between 4:15 - 4:45. What a poor display of professionalism.
These people are the worst. Stay away from them at all costs. The apartment was trashed when we got it. We were shown a refurbished apt and told ours would look the same when we rented it. Spent two days cleaning up and eventually called the board of health. An inspector came in and they were cited for numerous violations. We not only cleaned but also patched and painted walls but replaced the rotten countertop at our own expense. Prior to leaving, the place was left spotless. When we tried to get our security deposit back we were charged for cleaning and sanding, patching and painting. Also charged a "Constable Fee" which is a fancy term for late fee which is illegal in Massachusetts. Numerous calls to resolve thius issue went unanswered. Finally got in touch with a "Patricia", who made promises to look into it and never returned my calls. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she claimed there wasn't one refused to take it to the next level. These people are predatory by there nature and there are many terrible reviews all over google.
Terrible service, all of the realtors are extremely unprofessional and unfriendly to deal with. They are clearly only interested in taking advantage of college students and young professionals that are attracted to this area and that is very apparent. The way Boston Union Realty does business is very unfortunate and I would recommend anyone to stay as far away from them as possible.
I rented through a different company, but someone from Boston Union Realty recently let themselves into my apartment to show it with very little notice. I was in the middle of sleeping after working multiple overnights and would have much appreciated knowing that they were coming instead of having them barge in.
Worst realtors ever. Dont provide the facilities promised and expect the payment upfront. Will charge a late fee if rent not given in the first five days. Dont pay. You arent supposed to. They can only charge the late fee after 30 days of non payment. Worst supervisor of the buulding. Zero maintenance. They dont even care about you. Dont go to them as your real estate. They will sweet talk you into deals they cant deliver.
They don't have many options. You can go if want very cheap and small studio.
They play around with your money. Careful wiring stuff to them.
