Boulder County Jail

Only been here once for a stupid stupid FTA. I have never been in trouble before. So this was my first experience. But they weren't exactly nice. I froze my ass off because they made me take my t-shirt. So I had a tank top on for 3 hours before getting yelled at that I need to have something less revealing on. Sigh. Well duh. Anyways more then just that. Just hope I never have to go there again is all

Well, where do I begin. All of the entire law enforcement staff there was extremely rude and standoff ish. Anymore disrespectful and the staff would have been laughing at the very thought of my requests. I came to the county jail early in the morning to bail an individual out that was currently in custody. Upon posting bail I was recommended a bail bondsman from the receptionist. Was unable to find a bondsman that could help me with the bond. I eventually paid the full bond amount via kiosk in the lobby. Was told it would be much quicker and I would be on my way. 1 hour goes by after speaking to another disrespectful employee through booking, and was told it would only take a few minutes to sign the bond papers and be on our way. 2 hours go by and I was told that the system was down and they couldn't see my payment through their system. Besides the fact that I had a hard copy of the receipt it printed. Was told that they would give me a call when released if I needed to leave. 5 pm comes, and I get a call saying the system is back up and they will be doing the releases in 45 mins. I drove back from Arvada out to boulder county, and I got the same response I had been receiving all day. Each employee I spoke with gave me a fabricated story of the reason why he hadn't been released yet. All in all very bad experience. What is the most upsetting is that these "officers of the law" will say anything to make themselves believable. Get rid of the liars and restaff your entire work force. I'm glad I don't live in boulder.

I had to come here today to help resolve an unfortunate situation for a friend. Everyone who works here has been very understanding and accommodating towards the issue. At a place where tension runs high I have seen a level of caring that warmed my heart.

I walked my husband in here and the old woman working here actually yelled at me and scrutized me for what I was wearing like I was some sort of child... in most people's opinion what I was wearing wasn't inappropriate in any way. I was wearing a pair of shorts(not too short) because it's summer time and very hot out obviously with a pink jacket...right as she said this to me a woman wearing a skimpy work out outfit walked out through the the door and nobody said anything to her. These are the same people who ask you what you were wearing when you got raped. Most the people I have come in contact with here are very rude, have no idea what's going on, and are dumber than a sack of rocks. I noticed I am not the only woman to complain about this predicament. It's clear most who work here are severely unhappy, has a skewed sense of judgement, and has a false sense of entitlement.
