Boulevard Bagel Cafe

Extremely poor service from the owner. We entered the shop at 12.15pm and was told we cant order anything due to closing at 12.40pm when its advertised to close at 1pm. She was extremely rude and forced us out of the shop telling us that it's her business and she can do what she wants. Very surprised by the attitude. Other customers were present at the time and were shocked too! This review doesn't even deserve 1 star

Really good bagels. They're a touch sweeter & less dense than most NYC bagels which is a pleasant change up to me they taste similar to Black Seed in Manhattan which wins lots of awards. But nice texture and chew. There's also a large, pleasant area to sit while you eat, free WiFi and more. Service has been pretty good every time I've been there. Overall a really nice place!

Very rude owner. Avoid if you do not have the same colour skin/dress sense or facial features as the owner. Reluctantly giving one star as no choice. Does not deserve a mention on google let alone a star.

Great selection of breakfast foods! They have different types of bagels and a huge selection of cream cheeses as well. There's plenty of sitting space and has a clean and inviting atmosphere. My fave smoothie here is the Blvd Smoothie. Sooo good

Bad, bad experience. I won't be ordering from here again. I ordered a few bagels and cream cheese on seamless. After about 45 min 15 min longer than the estimated delivery time, I called. It took about 10 minutes to explain that no, I don't want to place an order, I am calling about a seamless order, and when I asked to speak with a manager the woman on the phone told me oh, nobody else is here and we're very busy. Finally I spoke to the man who works there, who told me he'd call the delivery man. When I called back he wouldn't take my number to call me of course he told me the delivery man said he had been to my place, but he clearly hadn't as I had no call or doorbell ring. I had to expend a ton of energy just to try and get them to agree that they would try to deliver it again, only to then get a call from the delivery man saying he was at my house when he was not. At that point I said forget it, and I tried to call back but they hung up on me. I normally don't post bad reviews on the internet but this was extremely frustrating. Instead, I ordered from Brooklyn Bagel who was more than happy to take my order and deliver to my house. I recommend New York City Bagel & Coffee on 23rd ave for an actual real bagel store with good customer service, or Brooklyn Bagel. This place is really bad.

Someone commented that BLVD Bagel has a small menu??? Have they actually SEEN the menu? Anyway, the fresh bagels here are awesome. I've only eaten breakfast items here about 4000 times so I can only attest to the items from that portion of the menu, but it's always good. Service is great. I see a couple of the guys from the kitchen around the neighborhood running orders. They've got hustle. Always friendly.

the cook is either drunk or completely stupid, I asked for a slice of lox cream cheese tomatoes and onion and somehow that meant egg and cheese with lox? And i got completely overcharged on my card. Terrible!

The place is very popular for cheap hearty breakfast, great fresh bagles and spreads, a lot of omlett options. When it comes to coffee... well, no sugar, milk, or sleave to hold your cup, unless you ask. They give it to you piece meal - you ask for a sleave, than for sugar, than milk, oh, do you want to steer it ? - you are out of luck, unless you ask again - every time waiting your turn. I don't understand why can't they set up a station with all necessities like in every other normal coffee shop?

Perhaps a strange thing to say, but this place has the best sausage egg and cheese on a roll around. Like other comments mention, I do wish they’d turn on the AC when it’s hot out. But otherwise, place is great.

Great food. Ruined by the lack of service. If you know you’re crazy busy in the morning, have more than one person at the register and one person making food. Wait is ridiculous. If you don’t have a job or a life to get to then definitely come to this place.
