The perfect place to get away from civilization for a bit. We saw an average of two other canoes from our campsite each day. Can be physically strenuous to portage everything you need to camp, but it was well worth it for my friends and me.

So many fish .... so little time ! If you're looking for remote solitude and some extraordinary fishing prospects, this is the place. Beautiful scenery, crystal clear water, abundant wildlife, and all the fish you could possibly imagine. Northern Pike, Walleye, and Muskies are practically jumping into the canoe. What a gorgeous place !

One of the most beautiful places on the planet. It allows you to experience nature and is an experience that you will not soon forget. I personally think everyone should try to go to the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area at least once during their life.

If you want to unplug, this is your place! You will find neither a power source nor a cell tower signal for miles. There are a variety of camp sites with fire rings and covered latrines. The water is crystal clear -- great for canoeing, fishing, and swimming. My family has taken this trip a few times, including times when the more serious campers stayed in the boundary waters while the more urbane stayed in Ely with their coffee shops and other signs of civilization.
