By far the best orthopedic surgeon you will ever find. He did my ankle surgery 8 years ago, my shoulder surgery almost 2 years ago and he’s done 2 ankle surgeries on my daughter. He is very knowledgeable and he also really cares about his patients. The office staff is also amazing.
I am sorry that I am complaining about a service and product that I spent money and time on and I did not receive. Also because I could email this complaint to the office but still would get no response. This is an office staff complaint. I was referred from my Orthopedist from Colorado to Dr Cucchetti Orthopedics. My only purpose was to have him give me hylgan injections for my knee, I had received a hylgan injections and paid through my insurance 4 yrs ago and it worked. I am living in Arizona now and called the office and asked if I came there if he could and would do it. I was told yes. On 11/14/22 I drove 40 min to the office. I spent 5 minutes at the office since I had no injury or complaint that needed an exam. They also had me go and get xrays prior to appointment and pay 160 dollars for the x-rays. I Had to make this office visit to establish a new patient with Dr. Cucchetti. Dr. Cucchetti agreed if hylgan injections worked before it would most likely work again and he can get this done for me. He was professional and cordial. 3 weeks later I still had not heard back from the office to set up times to receive the product. I had called and texted. They finally responded and said that insurance would not cover but I could pay 700 dollars cash and get it done with the hylgan they have at the office. I called my insurance and discussed this. They said I should have gotten a denial letter but I did not . They also said they show no record of this group trying to get the hylgan authorized. I reached back to the office and told them this. I also said that I will send all my records and insurance authorization forms from 4 yrs prior. I said to use this. Then many weeks went by again and I had to text them to find out when I can begin getting the service and product. When they did get back they said they still could not get approved. I called the insurance company again and the pharmacy that has the product . Neither showed any request from an Orthopedist from their office for me. I spoke in detail and they gave me the specific hylgan products that my insurance covers and no pre authorization was needed. They also gave me the direct numbers for the office to call. I again reached out to the orthopedic office by texting and left a phone message with all this information. I never heard back for another week. I then called and asked the provider Dr. Cucchetti to call me so we can solve this since the staff was not getting the job done. Well it has been over 2 weeks and no return phone call from Dr. Cucchetti.
Dr. Cucchetti was helpful and very knowledgeable about my joint issues. He and his staff were efficient and welcoming. I'd recommend Dr. Cucchetti to anyone having orthopedic problems.
Dr. Cuchetti operated on my hip back in 2017 and I gained complete trust in him back then. My mom is a nurse and one of her nursing friends recommended him after occasionally working with him in the OR. I have sent multiple friends to him because I trust and respect him so much. He is honest, smart, and is very personable, and I would recommend him to anyone. Unfortunately I need his expertise again, but I know I’m in good hands. I understand that there may sometimes be a wait, but it is always expected at a doctors office, and as long as they give me the time I need, I don’t care. Dr. Cuchetti treats each patient like they are the only one in the office, so patiently waiting is not an issue, because I know all my questions will be answered and he will spend as much time with me as I need him to. Patience is a virtue.
A Doctor and office staff who are knowledgable and take the time to ask the critical questions that lead to detailed care... all done in a comfortable environment. Mike D
This is an incompetent and unprofessional medical office with absolutely shameless staff that I would give zero stars to if possible. I was inundated with emails and text "reminders" for 3 days leading up to my appointment and the day of the appointment. However, when I arrived for my appointment I was told that Dr. Cucchetti's staff canceled it because "he doesn't see patients for ankle or foot injuries." The staff claimed that they left a voice message telling me that it had been cancelled--this is not true. I never received a voice message, nor a text or email, but I did receive constant reminders to show-up as I said above. The staff was inconsiderate and disrespectful of my time and offered no explanation or apology for what they did. In fact, the strange woman trying to explain what was clearly their error seemed to take arrogant tone when I asked why I kept receiving "reminder" messages even after they canceled my appointment.
Dr Cucchetti was great at calming my fears regarding my knee issues and most of all listened to everything without being dismissive. When a Dr listens to me and cares about what is happening now and what my best prognosis would be for the future it is a home run for sure. The staff is friendly and helpful and made me feel like I was a repeat customer and friend instead of a new patient and stranger. And my knees feel better!
After fracturing my humerus and tearing my rotator cuff and bicep, I saw dr. Cucchetti as a second opinion. Dr. Cucchetti took the time to explain my injuries in understandable terms, drew pictures of what was wrong and identified problems that the first doctor and MRI reports didn’t even identify. He then proposed how he would fix everything and did. Post surgery, my arm is now fully functional instead of hanging by my side like an elephant trunk. Dr Cucchetti, and his team including Danica and grace are all business in terms of being problem solvers but among the kindest and most caring human beings I have ever met and so grateful to have found them for anything that may happen in the future.
Dr Cucchetti is great and i wish he had polite and nice staff. They always act like they’re mad to be at work and it’s inconvenient for you to come in for an appointment or call. It’s very odd to me and they’re also incredibly unhelpful when you’re sitting in a waiting room for 30 minutes and ask when you’re finally going to see the doctor. Most people in medical care are not so cold and rude. Do not recommend if you like good customer service and it’s unfortunate since Cucchetti seems like a good doctor! Danica truly is the epitome of a bad staff member so stay away from her. She is very unhelpful and will treat you like you’re lying when you speak to her after your surgery and you tell her you have pain. So weird! My shoulder surgery went well I think but no one told me there would be 4 weeks of not being able to move my arm or do normal activities so do make sure to ask every question! I’ve had lots of surgeries and this one was the hardest to heal from!
Dr. Cucchetti and his staff are welcoming and caring. I highly recommend them for orthopedic care. Dr. Cucchetti takes the time to explain his evaluation and communicates hope and optimism. He is patient with questions. After a recent knee surgery, he stuck with me until I had full healing. If I had to have another surgery, I would feel confident I was in capable, thoughtful hands.
