Brazilian Buffet

Nice Brazilian restaurant with tasty food, fair price, and no frills. This is a typical self-service buffet type of restaurant which is very common in Brazilian communities in Newark-NJ, Astoria-NY and many other locations. You make your plate, weigh and pay about $10 per pound. My feijoada plate from the attached picture had a little less than a pound so I paid around $9 which is a great deal especially if you compare to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is somewhat small, simple, but there are enough tables for everyone even during lunch hours. Staff is friendly, they give you privacy to pick your food without anyone bothering you, food is tasty and the variety is ok. I wish they had Brazilian barbecue similar to other restaurants in the area but I can’t really complain because the food and price were great. Compared to other Brazilian restaurants in the area this place has a big advantage because the process is very simple. Other restaurants such as Casa Nova, Cantinho Mineiro, Delícia de Minas also offer a buffet option but their process is very complicated. They have a prix fixe option for a set price and then if you add meat it’s a different price, if you want to take something to go you need to pick a prix fixe container for a different price. It’s just too confusing and I don’t really like that, hence my preference for this Brazilian buffet restaurant. Don’t expect any luxury or lots of variety. This is a practical restaurant offering food for a fair price. I definitely recommend it. Note that there’s just street parking and the Wilson Ave area tends to be busy so keep that in mind.

We found The Brazilian Buffet mostly by accident. But the two buffet tables offered plenty of variety! And the taste, ingredients, and seasonings, all bespoke of a caring family and kitchen crew, chef and helpers, who knew how to cook! I can't wait to return to Brazilian Buffet in Newark, N.J. Thank you!

the food is ok. but the price very sour. for a little small plate that i had with a soda can. $14.50. unbelievable!!!!! and i didn’t get anything from the rodizio. was my first and last time there !
