HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant. The dishes, drinks and appetizers were outstanding. I brought my husband here for Father’s Day dinner and he enjoyed everything he ordered and so did our daughter. I would recommend trying their ribeye steak or their grouper because both of those were amazing, and their sides were just flavorful which added to the entrees. We will be returning here for another dinner or possibly lunch meal.
I came here on Father’s Day for brunch and I had already planned ahead what I would be having for brunch from the menu online. Unfortunately once we got to the restaurant and sat at the table we were informed that they only had 3 items from the brunch menu and just a lunch menu. It was 10:30 in the morning and I was not in the mood for lunch so I had to pick one of the 3 options for brunch. After the disappointment of having to order off a limited brunch menu I decided to get the chicken and waffles which were actually very delicious and also tried the wedge salad. The service was good and the food was good quality and tasty.
I celebrated my birthday by having dinner here and they did not disappoint! This is a very beautiful restaurant with really good food! The manager was very prompt and courteous when seating my birthday party! You can only seat parties of 8 which was a bummer because I had to limit my guest list but overall I had a nice memorable experience and I will definitely be back. I ordered a lemon drop drink and the Filet Mignon! They even gave me a signed birthday card! I thought that was so sweet
Steaks were delicious. The inside is setup nicely! I saw all types of attire during my visit: tennis shoes, dress up, dress down. There’s also a nice large bar area. We might just try to sit there next time.
Great place with great food & great service. Our waiters on two separate visits, Nate & Jeremiah, made each visit spectacular. They knew the menu & made great suggestions & took really great care of us & Clean tables & chairs/booth seats, high quality silverware & glasses & along with clean restrooms with fabulous wallpapers!
Make a reservation! Bricktop's exceeded our expectations. I didn't realize this establishment was on the classy spectrum, from the open kitchen, the uniformed service, and the liquid sugar for the tea. The food was Outstanding! The best steak I've had all year.
I’m BIG on customer service. I had a experience that I don’t think I will return. Our waitress skipped over us meaning me and another friend who is African American. We literally tried to give her the benefit of the doubt saying to ourselves she having a bad day because we do understand it. She didn’t offer us anything & was taking our appetizer from the table without asking if we were finished. Literally grabbed a plate off the table and my friend grabbed the other end saying we aren’t finished... She blew out a sigh saying your food is coming. Never coming back to refill our water until we mentioned it to her manager and he refuted the situation as though what I said was invalid. She offered the tables right next to me dessert and held small talk but never came back to our table. I don’t experience prejudice often but you could feel this lady had a problem with US. Her name was Savanna & her manager Michael looked at us like we had 4 heads. I have a great friend who comes to this location often with clients. I told her about my visit and she described this young lady exactly. She said this young lady was rude to her also & her African American friends. I will not tolerate this & will spend my “black coins” somewhere that it’s appreciated. I did contact corporate but haven’t heard a response. If you don’t like people of other cultures, you shouldn’t work in an environment that opens you up to working with people that don’t look like you. I refuse to let it get to me but want to warn others who have the same complexion as me. Food was great but it ruined the experience.
I took my sister here for her 15th birthday and we had such a good time. Our food was delicious and our server was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but not overwhelming. We left happy and with a birthday card that the staff had signed to celebrate my sister!
bricktop was such a surprising 5 star place for me. I thought it was going to be a boring steakhouse, but the seafood was stunning. The alabama oysters were so good, and the crab butter sushi was amazing. I would eat that any day of the week. Then we got to the ribeye, and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. I also thought the service was excellent, and on-par with the food. Definitely a must in Birmingham!
Our first time visiting this restaurant. Service was top tier. My favorite cocktail was the Prickly Pear Marg, for our appetizers we had the Shanghai shrimp 10/10 and firecracker sushi. For our entrees we had the Halibut, Waugh filet mignon, ribeye, prime rib, and sea bass. Our favorite of the entrees was the Prime Rib the taste was out of the world.
