First time @ Bricktown. I live in Greenpoint Bk and usually don't wander down here but I was particularly hungry today and Bricktown was the nearest breakfast place. I'm particular about health, safety and cleanliness and I have to say Bricktown hits all the marks. I came in @ 1pm with a hankering for breakfast. I was attended by Wendy who is very down to earth and personable. She has impeccable customer service skills and patience as she managed several clients efficiently and friendly. I placed my order and as I waited, I inspected the locale. I found the physical aspect to be neat, tidy and clean. Their health inspection letter is a A and well deserved as the floor, tables, glass counters, displays and mirrors were clean. As well as the restroom facility. Definitely A on cleanliness. My food arrived and it did not disappoint: egg and mozzarella cheese omelet with pastrami and hash browns. The pastrami was delicious not overcooked or hard and they were generous with the cheese. My coffee was just perfect. All this for less than $15.00 is a bargain ANYWHERE in NYC. Bricktown offers a varied assortment of baked goods as well. See pics. Overall, great food, great service, inviting ambiance and clean. Definitely 5 out of 5 for me. I will return. Excellent experience.
This location was recommended by a co-worker and on two occasions my order was completely raw. The first time I allowed them to fix the order, spoke to Wendy who was fantastic! She’s the most helpful and has great customer service! Overall I have to say they need to get rid of the cook! Whoever made this breakfast needs to be FIRED ASAP. I called my order in with Wendy who previously assured me that I wouldn’t have another issue like the first RAW experience. I specified well done/ CRISPY and I got what you see in the photo. I wasted $15 and I am not happy at all. I will not be ordering from here again and to think I was going to order lunch today for the office…ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE . If they got rid of the cook I’d consider coming back just because of WENDY!!
Terrible experience. If you’re a tourist and you want to try a mom and pop bagel shop, this is not a place for you. Although I like supporting local, I cannot take rudeness. Woman over the counter was super rude when asked if they have sweetener packets. She rudely said that we should have let her know if we want our coffee sweet. We also got breakfast bagel but they forgot to add smear. So disappointed. Would rather go somewhere else.
The plain and blueberry toasted bagels with cream cheese are the go-tos for my partner and I when walking by at least once a month. We are definitely not bagel aficionados but we like the crispy exterior contrasted with the fluffy and slightly chewy interior of ones we ordered from Brickrown Bagels & Cafe. Stopping by to support local businesses also makes for a simple quick breakfast. Notes: Staff working here are okay, service is slow during peak hours, and the ordering/pick-up process confuses newcomers on a daily basis.
I love this place but my bagel sandwich delivery this morning was ALL wrong. I asked for 2 kinds of cheese and got NONE. No cheese. Eggs were terribly overcooked and it arrived an hour late, cold. I'd like a refund or a re-do please.
Great place great food. Love their fresh squeezed orange juice. Bagels are always good. Little pricey but everything is nowadays
would give no stars if i could. breakfast sandwich roll was total oily mush. asked for crispy bacon got a pile of half cooked bacon jammed into the middle. last straw. have no idea why they are sitll in business. way too many apologies and hope to make it up to you in reviews.
We went here on a whim becuase it was the closest place to use at the moment and have gone back every day of our trip for breakfast. The bagels are AMAZING and they have a ton of fillings/spreads/sandwich ingredients to customize the bagels as well as juices, omelettes and other breakfast items. The service is very business-like and fast paced but nice. I wish I could eat their french toast bagels every day!
Bagel was fine, but the bacon they served me seemed old and the cream cheese tasted a bit sour. There was an acidity about the flavors that I didn't enjoy. I probably won't be returning.
They charge $1.50 for a bagel, but if you dare to get a bagel with cream cheese then the price more than doubles to $3.80. The bagels are decent, but the space could be a little cleaner.
