Great atmosphere and excellent service. This is a good spot for date night or a night out with friends. This time I had the huarache pictured and I really enjoyed it. The flavors were spot on, it was priced right and just the perfect serving size since I wasn't in the mood for a full meal. My friend said her soup was just okay and her fries were over cooked. I've been here before and LOVED the killer tofu and the vegan sandwich. Definitely recommend. One of the highlights of the EAV.
It’s basically a five-star bar. Big variety of drinks and great prices with great service. Plenty seating with unique bar Seating and leather couch seating. Really cool vibe and big place-stays open late. Better food than a typical bar but limited menu like a bar. I enjoyed myself. Popcorn was salty, sweet, spicy. Free parking. Muscles were the market fish which was kinda odd but it was delicious. Hot dog was good. Wish they had a bigger menu. Dark inside which is ok. I like it and recommend you stop by. $5-$6 beers
Love the nautical feel! Gorgeous lighting and a huge bar with a great bartender! The outside patio is covered and dog friendly! Fries are fantastic with the barbecue/curry ketchup! Killer tofu was so yummy! Great place for vegans and meat eaters alike!Food: 5/5
Amazing beer selection and food! 100% vibes. I loved it here. The vegan cold cut is absolutely delicious. Love it!Food: 5/5
A group of us went in pretty late, around 10pm. It was mostly empty and the music was mostly techno pop. Which was nice at first but it would have been great to have a few songs on there with a lower rpm. The kitchen was closing soon so we got a mix of burgers, pizza, and salads. Everything was fine except for the fries and the pizza, they were not fresh at all. I guess they figured they would just use whatever fries that were left instead of making more. The pizza was doughy when it started to cool down. So I’d recommend the burgers, salads, and maybe pick a different side. The server was nice and attentive.
Food is very good. The beer menu is nice with a lot of different choices and some really good beers if you like craft beer. Seems like a really good place to have dinner or just enjoy some good drinks and snack on something. Definitely coming back.Food: 5/5
Great beer selection, the food was absolutely solid for the price and overall atmosphere was warm and cozy, really a great experience overall!Food: 5/5
My steak was hot full of flavor and perfectly cooked as I ordered. This was my first time here and my server was very patient amd helpful guiding me through the menu. the lighting was a little dark to read the menu but not bad at all. The music was at a good volume to add to the atmosphere but not so loud that you could hear the person you were talking to. Nick helped me figure out how order my first Martini. I definitely had a great experience! Glad I came
I came in after a long work shift near the midnight hour that everyone loathes in the industry, and my mouth was watering I was so hungry. They just ran out of dough right before my order, but I didn’t go home hungry thanks to Alex at the bar going completely out of his way. Had a lovely conversation over a beer a glass of amaro he suggested. Top tier. Fantastic customer service most bartenders would shrug and say too bad so sad. Thanks to Alex Argosy has earned my business for life. See you soon!
Allow me to set the mood! It’s Hoopz last night in Atlanta before moving back to Seattle. As such, I wanted something close to his area, good, and that I had never tied before. Naturally I end up on Yelp performing a search and Boom! I stumbled across Argosy. Though I have been in this area numerous times, I have never noticed Argosy. However, tonight was the night… I was excited as the restaurant has its own private lot. Woo Hoo! Anyone who knows the area can’t attest that parking is not the best when it comes to available spaces. Once parked, we headed inside. Argosy is humongous. I’m talking super big covered patio area in the front, when you walk through that space to get to the main area, the inside is HUGE as well. The setup has your organic local bar feel and is musically vibrant and upbeat. Upon walking in we were seated within moments. The table setup makes good use of the space as you don’t feel crowded at all. We were a party of 2 and the tables next to us were a party of 10 and we both had ample space. As I looked over the menu, this is the traditional bar food menu with the Argosy twist. This makes for a limited selection to choose from, however, there is at least one traditional favorite of each food element in the menu. Our server arrived at the table within moments, welcomed us to the venue and took our drink orders. She was very pleasant and displayed a joyous smile. After a few moments of burger vs. fries, I decided to get the Wings and Fries and babeeeeeeeeeee. These wings were amazing. The wings come in a sauce I have never had before, and now that I have had it, I want to continue having it. It’s like a Buffalo style sauce not too spicy, with an Argosy taste twist to them. As far as the French fries… Hear me clearly. The art of a Homemade fry is not something everyone can execute well. However, Argosy has discovered the ART of fry making. The fries are crunchy on the outside, however, soft and fluffy on the inside. Furthermore, the fries are lightly salted which brings out the authentic taste of the potato. To make it even better, the fries aren’t too oily or overly greasy. Though I loved my wings, the French fries stole the night!! All in all, I will be back at Argosy soon as I MUST try the burger next.
