Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center

Membership is an amazing value, I’ve taken multiple classes with Bristlecone instructors and I’ve never been disappointed. Their retail staff is also super knowledgeable. Great place to buy, demo, learn and grow as a firearms owner!

I attended the Concealed Carry course with Spencer and Cindy. Very cool experience with drills on the range allowing us to handle our firearms as a practical. I feel that the facility itself is top notch as well as the other courses that are offered that are very extensive. I am very interested in a membership for me and my wife. I felt that the instructors were very knowledgeable on the subject matter. A lot of interesting conversation.

I’ve shot at the range here a handful of times but I just took my first training class, ‘Intro to Pistol’ with PANCHO and it was a great class! While I’m not a beginner, I wanted to start off basic and see what I could learn. The class also helped me get more comfortable at an indoor range since I’m used to shooting outdoors. He’s a very proficient instructor while also allowing some room for a fun learning experience. I plan on taking more classes with PANCHO if possible! Bristlecone is also a very nice place to shoot and the staff are always friendly and helpful in my experience.

This evening I had the pleasure of taking the intro to pistol class. Lead by instructor Steve H., this class was a refresher for me, but also perfect for someone who's never held a gun. The staff was helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The classroom setting was relaxing and inclusive, never intimidating or overwhelming. The range time gave me indispensable feedback that helped me leave with a newfound confidence and excitement to continue learning and improving. They offer incentives for active and retired military, law enforcement, educators, students and seniors but despite not belonging to any of those groups I never felt left out. My questions were answers and the range feedback was extremely helpful. Bottom line, if someone was looking to hone their skills or pick up a pistol for the first time, Bristlecone Shooting and Training Center is the place I'll recommend for all their "pew pew" needs. I can't wait to go back!

This shooting range and store are just fantastic. The people are always so helpful and friendly. I've been a member since 2016. Anybody can feel comfortable shooting here. They treat everybody with respect. This is a female owned business and we've had groups of LGBTQ persons at the range and nobody has ever felt disrespected or uncomfortable here. Love you guys! Keep up the great work! We're glad to have you as part of the Lakewood Community!

Range is clean, safe, and professional. Ammo is fairly priced and the staff is all knowledgeable. Took my CCW class here and Pancho the instructor was excellent.

My husband and I bought an annual membership to Bristlecone a week ago. I’m a beginner and Bristlecone offers everything for me to practice shooting and become very confident and knowledgeable about firearms. As a Christmas gift to our two grown sons, we signed the family up for the Concealed carry course which we completed last night. Our instructor Steve H. was INCREDIBLE! - expert, excellent presenter and the feedback/instruction he provided on the range was so helpful. We learned so much. Steve and the entire staff have been wonderfully helpful and attentive!

I was thoroughly pleased with the class that I took from Bristlecone. Steve H was a phenomenal teacher - he is incredibly approachable and welcomes questions. It was easy to see that he truly wanted his students to learn and gain as much from the class as possible! I had only intended on taking one class, but now I would love to come back for more to continue my learning. Thanks Bristlecone for the amazing experience!

I signed up for Intro to Pistol and had Pancho as the instructor. He is a great teacher and expresses everything so clearly. His class taught me so much! After this one class, I already feel much more confident with my pistol. Our time in the range was awesome and Pancho helped my accuracy improve in no time. If you are newer to shooting, you gotta take his class!

so far its awesome, i just bought my first firearm, and i have now been there about 4 times. i am getting used to shooting my m&p. i have also signed up for the summer membership which seems to be of great value, discount on ammo and free shooting, instead of paying 20 dollars everytime you visit. they close pretty late and the staff has also been really helpful, kind and above all safety conscience. i am hooked now
