If you're looking for a place that is unsafe and poorly managed, this is it. From the very beginning, my experience here has been dreadful. The management and staff display an alarming lack of communication and action. Upon moving in, I found my apartment filthy, with a musty carpet and a foul odor coming from the closet. The dishwasher, washer, and dryer were all wet, dirty, and infested with mold. I promptly submitted a maintenance request for the carpet and dryer. It took two weeks for someone to finally clean the carpet, yet the odor remained. As for the dryer, maintenance took several days to attend to it, but by that time, I had already cleaned it myself out of necessity. Car break-ins are a recurring issue at this complex. My vehicle, along with others, was broken into and ransacked. The management’s response was appalling. When I asked if there was any security camera footage for my police report, the manager, Sharon, casually mentioned, "Oh, sometimes they're really good at dodging the cameras, so there's nothing we can do or show you." She also claimed there was no relevant footage from that night, despite initially complaining about the large amount of footage to sift through. When I expressed concerns about parking my car in the garage due to safety, Sharon informed me that the complex would take no action to enhance security. Despite multiple calls for updates on the footage, my inquiries were ignored, and I never received a follow-up. The so-called "gated" garage and "security" cameras are entirely ineffective. I've since discovered that simply standing near the garage gate causes it to open automatically. The supposed locked doors are often propped open or malfunctioning, leaving the complex without any real security measures in place. A few months after the initial break-in, my car was vandalized again. I contacted management immediately, as my vehicle was parked directly in front of a security camera and I wanted footage for a police report. But, over the course of three months, I made numerous phone calls and sent multiple emails, repeatedly asking for Sharon to follow up and she 'promised' she would. Despite my efforts, I never received a response from her. Additionally, this complex has a severe roach infestation. Despite regular pest control treatments, I’ve continued to find both live and dead roaches, as well as other insects, in my unit. Mold is another persistent issue. I also submitted a request for mold to be checked in my closet because the musty, foul odor had gotten worse. But like everything else, to this day, no one has responded or evaluated the closet despite numerous calls and check-ins about my request. This property is in dire need of a complete overhaul in both management and quality standards. I promise none of the staff members care about this residents. I would strongly advise against living here, and I cannot wait to leave this place.
For the amount of money that you have to pay, you should expect much better amenities, community, and service. These apartments are noisy, the hallways smell of animal filth, the gym is missing equipment with some of it broken. Some of the residents don't respect the community property and there are no consequences for their actions, making this an unpleasant place to live.
Lily is awesome! I had a tour with her and she was so fun and vibrant! It would be hard not to move here thanks to her! She’s a true gem! But besides that the property is beautiful! Lots of smiling faces in the lobby and everything just feels so welcoming! This place is home so book a tour! :
I lived here Dec 2021 - Feb 2024 For the most part my stay here was okay. I personally didn’t have and issues for the most part. There was some issues like packages stolen, homeless ppl sleeping in building etc that occurred while I lived there. It’s important to note I lived in the 1st building the main building. 2nd building is the same property but diff world over there. If you move here get a unit in the 1st building!!!!! Idk what it is about that 2nd building but I never hear anything good. My biggest issue came when it was time to move out. Within a 24hrs of turning in my keys I had a move out notice from Lilly totaling $1687. I’ve stayed at plenty apartments and have never had anything like this. Some of the things listed was carpet stains, wall damage and damage to kitchen floors. I did not have any carpet stains carpet only in bedroom however I had lived there 2yrs so like usual under the bed is slightly lighter than rest. - When I asked could I come back to take care of thankfully they said yes. However honestly I didn’t do anything but go over it again with a $20 vacuum from Walmart. After I spoke with Lily asking if it will suffice she said to wait until she get quotes from the carpet lady to see if it will be any extra charges. I’m still confused to where and why was a number added to the invoice for “carpet stains” if she hadn’t spoke with the carpet people yet. Apparently it sufficed. It was removed from the charges. As far as the kitchen floor damage when I first moved in I had a fridge that leaked bad. They tried to fix twice and they decided to replace it but where the water would drip and puddle up it caused slight damage to floor panel in front of fridge. I was charged for that. I told Lily it was from the fridge leaking. She says well it looks like your lights were off at one point it may have caused the fridge to leak. My lights were off for literally one hour due to me not having a updated card of file Even if that was the case you telling me your maintence crew would come in notice electricity is off and give me a whole new refrigerator ?!?!?? That doesn’t even make sense. I not only thankfully was still able to log in and screenshot my service ticket she said she needed to check with the maintence team to confirm. The confirmed!!! I patched holes and covered any damages. I had those things that hide your cords. I got charged $200+ for a full bedroom paint, texture, sanding etc. which I saw the final work and they was able to paint right over where I patched however I was told I did it wrong. I also have those things that hide cords. I patched those up as well, sanded and everything. Idk if it’s on the contractors they use or the apt. But I did see the contractor charged them for a full paint. When I moved in I did something called Rhino they had going where you don’t pay a deposit. So idk if this was their way of getting a form of payment some kind of way idk. We emailed back and forth for about two months. Each time I asked Lily just to send an updated itemized invoice everytime something was taken off. At one point she stopped responding but sent an email saying it would be sent to collections. It started to feel like she was just saying and doing whatever to get the invoice paid. There were even things on there twice! Why wouldn’t I ask to see invoice after each resolved item? After sometime I decided not to pay it. Please note if you move here: If you have any issues PUT A TICKET IN! When you move out take pictures and videos. Walk thru with them if you can when moving out. Typical normal wear and tear like the carpet situation just assume you will be charged for it. So have them walk with you to confirm. Asked for itemized invoice and if is anything you have concerns about ask them!
An absolute trash of an apartment complex not only is it dirty. It’s unsafe. There’s homeless people that get into garage. People break into cars in the garage. Every door is open. Anybody can get it at any time. Random little kids get into the lobby and the game room the pool is dirty. The trash is always filled up, it’s outdated. It’s not luxury at all. Have a 2015 style for a price of a 2020 apartment complex. They tried to charge me $200 for the handle of a microwave. They tried to charge me for cleaning the apartment if it’s not standard procedure , it’s absolute trash horrible management horrible people it’s just dirty and somebody also got shot in the elevator and when I went to go complain about it they said there’s nothing they could do. They claimed to have security they do not.
Updated April 2022. Stay away for your safety. CONS: -Apartment unit + Cars broken into. -Packages constantly get stolen. -Highway noise, you can hear everything at night even with a unit facing west. Also many dogs barking at night -Bad smell and fly infestation due to trash not properly managed. -Elevator out of service every other week. Not to mention the inspection hasn’t been updated in years. -Office staff and manager don’t follow up on issues/requests and seem annoyed when they have to. No one ever responds if you send an email. -Poor water pressure and bad smelling water. -Pool desperately needs deep cleaning PROS: Rent is low, more sqft per $ Gym is well kept Location is convenient This could be a great place to live if we had better management.
The apartment its self is nice …but it’s EVERY THING else that’s NOT!!! 1st Thing… actually MOVING IN is a NIGHTMARE!!! No where to park a moving truck, NO DOCK.. no designated place to really move in !! .. you have to actually maneuver through the DISGUSTING garbage area with your furniture .. and then to top it off, after finally going through the disgusting garbage area than ,you have to go clear across the parking garage, which by the way ,is hard to keep the doors open, to an elevator… which is ridiculously blocked by a car .. why they refuse to designate that area for a loading area ,is beyond me ,It’s almost impossible to get big furniture in! And management does not care !!! Nightmare!! Packages get stolen constantly ! The trash shoots are always full and disgusting! The halls smell horrendous! Elevators are always down .. for the price of the apartment it’s not acceptable!
This is my honest review and opinion. The amenities, location, and the gym is amazing. I absolutely love how updated the amenities are and how it gives a luxury feel, but unfortunately there’s things that can be better. 1. As a young lady to walk into the mail box area to find a homeless man sleeping on the couch was quite disturbing and scary. A solution to this could be security, because that is an obvious safety concern and shows that the apartments are not as secure as they could be. 2. Packages that get delivered outside of the concierge box have been found opened up constantly, or stolen so getting packages or mail delivered is a huge risk. 3. The elevator in building 2 is constantly down. Skyline does a good job at communicating any follow ups on repairs, but if that elevator company continues to not “have the right parts” or fix things in a timely manner, then when is it beneficial to look into another elevator company if that’s feasible? Every time an elevator goes down, not only is it upsetting but I then think about if there’s any tenants with disabilities or tenants who have to move I was one of those tenants who heavily relied on an elevator to make the process smoother but had to do it without a working elevator. Pros: I actually like Sharon manager and I like how she attempts to learn people’s names and tries her best. I do wonder if there’s things that are out of her control she has helped me on several occasions and I appreciated her for it! I also like how they hire the food trucks every so often and they email us about events and activities going on love that I also feel like there’s a lot of very nasty tenants who don’t clean up after themselves which has caused lots of issues smells, spills, you name it and I always see maintenance trying to stay on top of it which I always say “thank you” because I would hate to clean up after stuff like that when it could’ve been prevented by people who just had home training and a smidge of decency. Overall, I feel like Skyline has LOTS of potential to be true “luxury apartments”. They just have to take those necessary steps to do so. You guys are capable, but you have to address the serious issues that so many people have already voiced that are in your control.
I’ve lived here for a year now and I really enjoy the convenience of location. Lily is absolutely amazing. Whenever I need anything, she takes care of it and has an extremely positive attitude that is absolutely lovable! I would definitely recommend this apartment to young professionals looking to stay within the loop. It’s very convenient to anything im the city. The only thing I wish they would take care of is the carpets in the hallway. Besides that, the staff is great, neighbors are decent and rent is reasonable.
Don’t waste your time. Money wise it’s worth it but everything that comes with it makes you think otherwise. 1. The gym isn’t bad however equipment is missing. 2. The pool this summer could’ve used multiple cleanings. There was a film on the top of the pool the entire summer. 3. Good luck making sure your packages aren’t stolen. Your packages will be wide open in the mail room with the contents missing. 4. The carpets in the hallways are filthy and stink! 5. Trash is left outside of the trash chute all the time. 6. My AC stopped working after one time turning on the heat. 7. The door by the guest parking is unlocked all of the time. Anyone can easily walk in. The leasing agents are always lovely but the property manager, Sharon… She cares more about her “sandwiches in her car” than your home. I came to her about a situation and she kept complaining about how she “just got here” and acting like my situation was not worth talking about. I don’t trust this woman and she would probably say anything to flip your apartment for a new sale. Lily is very nice but follows Sharon’s lead. This place has potential but needs a deep clean and repairs. WRH I would highly recommend seeking management that actually shows empathy and compassion and doesn’t just see you as a dollar sign.
