I love this dinner. Feels homey and there service is quick and very friendly. There food is also fantastic. Even on a busy Sunday brunch, their so efficient, your wait shouldn’t be that long. Me and my wife love coming here and we make it a weekly thing now. Can’t recommend enough.
Wow! What a find! Now this is a real Jersey Diner! I went to this diner off the recommendation of family and was elated to find they weren’t kidding. First the place was packed! It was busy but we were sat right away. I heard great things about the fresh juices so I tried two of them; the famed orange juice and a #9 with ginger added. Both were delicious! They had a bunch of specials and some great combinations so I could get what I wanted; as well as who I dined with. The food came out in a quick and more than reasonable time. The portions were huge! Everyone cleaned their plates and was satisfied. The waitress we had was nice too. It was a pleasant experience and we were surprised with the volume of people how consistent and fast the food came. The Country Sampler is definitely the way to go! If you’re looking for a great diner with great prices and real Jersey style, this is your place! And don’t forget to have some fresh squeeze orange juice in house! It’s worth it alone! They also bottle it to go! Stop in and enjoy!
Walked in on a busy morning and got seated surprisingly fast. I ordered a medium well steak and egg, but I received like a super well-done steak. The steak had like no basic seasoning taste, and it was absolutely bitter since it was all burnt. There were lots of burn lines from the grill. It was so bitter that I needed to pour so much ketchup on it to cover the bitterness. It's definitely not worth $18. In the end, when my group grabbed the bill, they didn't tell us that tip is included. So I literally double tipped them. They got like $35 in tip!
Random dinner I went to get food with a friend and meet a dude that was 7 ft . WILD but the food was really good only thing that made me sad was that the super mega special menu ends at 10 pm . Popular diner, in town. The food is good, but typical diner food. The selection on the menu is abundant. The service is friendly. The food is freshly made. You can get unlimited coffee with a certain order, however, the coffee is a bit on the weak side. All in all, it's a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends and/or loved ones.
I go here for breakfast a lot but came in at 10PM one night after a long day and got a grilled chicken avocado panini, and it was awesome. Really nothing this diner can’t do! And the staff is always kind. 10/10 recommend
They have the best chicken pot pie, chicken noodle soup and meatloaf! Such a great place to eat!! Never had a problem here.Food: 5/5
If I were to envision misery, grief, and disappointment in a dish, it would be this chicken pot pie. It wasn’t so much a chicken pot pie as it was a watery, bland chicken noodle soup that happened to have bread in it. Like something you would eat in a hospital when you’re sick. It was definitely reheated and not made fresh on the spot. The only reason I’m not giving this a 1 star rating is because our waiter was nice and everyone else’s food seemed to turn out okay. Nothing spectacular or out-of-this-world, but at the very least okay. Don’t order the chicken pot pie!
We’re new to Bayonne and haven’t really had a chance to check out the local cuisine. Broadway diner was absolutely amazing! As soon as we walked in, we could smell the delicious flavors in the air. It was packed but still had enough seating space to accommodate. Even the ice in our beverages was perfect hotel quality crushed ice! . The service was fast, friendly and delightful. Juan made awesome recommendations and took such good care of us that we left him a 50% tip. We decided that even if the food was bad, the way he looked out for us is what earned him his tip. We were very thankful for him. 10/10 will definitely be returning more frequently
Pretty good diner with pretty good service and chill vibes however, the waiter wasn’t really friendly and when we found a piece of hair in the food he just took it back and didn’t apologize or anything. Even the burger I got had a funky smell. Not the best diner I’ve ever been too
