A friend recommended that I have my car towed to this shop after breaking down last week, based on his past experience with Carlos. Carlos checked my car and found that I needed only minor work done. He is honest, did not claim that my car needed unnecessary work, and provided great service.
A heads up- the lot surrounding the shop is paid parking. If Carlos is not there, they will ask you to pay to leave your car.

My neighbor recommended this Exxon for an auto inspection. The boss got me in quickly the first thing in the morning, and I was out of there 15 minutes later. I was happy to see another reviewer say that this is the kind of shop where they will tell you that you will need something in six months, but you don't have to do it right now. That's always been my test for an honest auto repair place. This is the first car I've had in New York, and I will be taking it back to this Exxon station for oil changes and minor repairs.

Prices are just 5 cents more than Palisades in New Jersey. Man at the counter was nice and courteous (tall African-American man) Thanks!!

This is as good an 'inspection service' experience as you're likely to find in NYC. Fast, polite and drama free. Highly recommended.
