What an amazing experience! Where else in the are are you going to see BISON up close and personal! The owners are ridiculously knowledgeable and super friendly. They have a well stocked gift shop and meat market! And they even do tours in the summer! Be sure to call ahead though, it is a working farm.

First time visiting a bison farm and it was awesome! They have a store where you can buy meat and other items related to bison. The owner was very friendly and I learned a lot about bison in the short time talking to him. He has over 100 bison and offers tours starting in June. I would definitely like to come back for a tour. If you are in the area this is a really cool place to see!!

Great little adventure. I was traveling up to Chicago with my ol' lady. She's racked out in the car, so I decided to take a little detour off of the interstate. Broken Wagon Bison popped up on my maps and figured I would surprise her when she woke up. As I pulled up it didn't look as if anyone was home, although there is a small office in the barn. The door was locked, so I was quite bummed. As I sat in the van deciding the next destination a big man in overalls came walking out of the house. He looked like Santa Clause on steroids with his big white beard and muscles. He smiled and waived us out of the car. He basically started an impromptu tour right away. As we were the only ones there on a late weekday morning, he took us over to the nearest gate where he had a few calves. He asked my lady if she wanted to feed them a bottle, which she declined, but I did get her to go up and pet them. We ended up chatting for over an hour and he had some really fun stories. You can tell he really cares about these creatures. Some are considered pets and the others, well they will eventually become burgers. We eventually made it in to the office where I bought some burgers, jerky, and a nice bison steak. He tossed in some extra burgers since we showed up and there was no one there to great us. I highly recommend taking the side roads, you never know what you'll run into.

Great up close experience with my 7 year old son this past June. Learned a lot about Bison, very educational, bison jerky was delicious, reasonable entry fee, he didn't want to leave. Definitely will be going back and will definitely bring friends/family.
