High quality yarn in a charming shop. Excellent place to shop for fabric, yarn, notions, patterns, threads, books, and goodies for fiber lovers.
Came here specifically looking for Sashiko thread and was not disappointed. All the naturally dyed wools here were also so tantalizing to look at and touch, and I can't wait to try to purchase from here again if I ever come back to Brooklyn in the future. Both of the people working there were incredibly nice to me and my boyfriend and answered every question I had about their materials without hesitation, and gave us really nice recommendations of other places to visit in the area. Can't recommend this shop enough!
Maybe a bit harsh giving only a three? It was fine, but I was hoping for more. I am travelling from Australia and hoping to find different fabrics at great prices what a surprise. I was probably just being very unrealistic.
A wonderful, beautifully stocked yarn and fiber craft store in Brooklyn. Had a great variety of samples that were inspiring. I would absolutely recommend that any crafter visit, even if it’s out of the way. The staff was very helpful and made great suggestions about substitutions. I love their sense of color and texture and the general look and feel of the store. Inspiring, welcoming, and delightful.
Very nice rustic yarn/craft store. What makes this store different for me in brooklyn is that it sells fabrics, threads, buttons and such not just yarn. Tons of multiple types of wool yarns and great brands.
Assortment of yarn and fabric & notions is decent. I was visiting from the west coast and this shop was on my list of must see’s. The customer service was pretty bad. I was greeted upon entering and that was it. The women working could not be bothered to stop and engage with me in any way. Not a warm, cozy feeling like the outside of the shop gives you. Super disappointed.
I want everything in here! This shop is such a treasure. I even ran into the landlord outside she announced herself as such outside and she told me how lovely the staff is - and they are! I bought a gift certificate for a knitter, a Sisters hand soap, and a gorgeous red metal sewing box made in Italy, and has so much pop. While I was carrying the box up Union, two people told me how nice it was. My next purchase is going to be sewing lessons. Again, there are so many great non-yarn related products here - totes, bags, jackets, sweaters, fabrics, and the stationery section is just dope. Whoever you are, you will love this place. xo
Fantastic shop! Super cute. Wide selection of textiles and supplies.
Love the fabric most of all. So much selection, really cute vintagy looking stuff. All the yarn and notions are amazing too, but oh the fabric!!
A repeat destination for my wife, who is a knitting enthusiast. She says they have a good selection of yarns, and a knowledgeable staff. I think it's an odd name for a knitting shop, but its reputation is spread by word-of-mouth, so I guess it's not important.
