Excellent, excellent practice. My mind is more organized and at ease because of the work I have been doing with my therapist here. The fact that they take my insurance is even more excellent! They accept pretty much most insurance plans. It looks like they’ve opened up a new location in Greenpoint, too! Also, I’ve found that the best way to contact them is through the website.
This is hands down the best experience I've had with a medical/mental health service. Making an appointment and scheduling an assessment was a simple online process. Brooklyn Psychotherapy accepts a range of insurance plans and their billing process is so efficient. The therapist I work with is fantastic and the practice director, Karen Costa, is friendly, professional and accessible. I highly recommend.
The fact they take my insurance is amazing. They really helped me find a amazing therapist I feel comfortable with. They also try to find you an available therapist for your specific needs if you have specific things you are looking for. The reviews complaining about not being able to walk in— on their website it lists the best way to contact them is via email. They are really fast at responding and they also will call you back after the initial email with your insurance info. They are clear and upfront about the way the handle things/ their fees. I work at a Chiro Office and transparency is really important but they have all the information laid out for you to easily access
Do you know how hard it is to get a hold of these people?? I called a dozen times over several days and various times - no answer. I physically went IN to the office and wound up waiting about 15 minutes for a receptionist that apparently doesn't exist. I tried to ask the therapist who popped out for all of 30 seconds and she said "someone will be with you soon." Lies. They very clearly don't care about their clientele. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
My therapist for 4 years. It is difficult to find a good therapist. They did a good job matching me up. Recommend.
I am a veteran of the US army. I was deployed to Afghanistan and wanted a different approach then what the VA offers. I was introduced there to Marnie. She is amazing and highly recommend her to other vets who suffer from ptsd.
I had a very bad experience here at Brooklyn Psychotherapy with a "so-called therapist"and it was the . the first day i went there she was acting strange and weird as if she were on drugs or something. She did not know me from the man on the moon . everything i said she said; it was a lie, i was lying about everything. and she did not know me at all. this THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AT THIS CLINIC! i respected the woman totally she did not respect me. i could not believe the way she was acting.. after the 45minute session was up, she told me;"I don't know why you travelled so far from manhattan".you should go back to manhattan where "you people" live.I was in shock!the woman is racist towards black people. and should be avoided . i never did anything disrespectable to her.I thought i could talk to her about my mother passing but by the way she acted like a "crazy woman". and they are supposely providing "Grief therapy" ha hahaha! where to themselves and their pockets!I would not recomend no one to go to Brooklyn Psychotherapy they 're racist towards black people and people of color and cannot be trusted this.
This place is a joke ! I called and left a message. I received a call back from one of the "Therapist" and she said they don't treat children with behavior issues when clearly they say they do on their website. Clearly they are no help and no good if they don't even know what they advertise. Ridiculous!!
Highly recommend this group for therapy, especially Nicole Remsen!
Incredible. My life has changed for the better thanks to this practice.
