I am a long time customer of Brookside Equipment, and until my recent experience, today I would only have super positive reviews. That ALL changed today. They attempted to charge me for a repair and maintenance. Given my Z mower is still under extended warranty that includes pick up and delivery within 100 miles. A simple "I need my mower fixed because it wont start and its not the battery or fuses" turned into much more for repairs and service when I was not contacted once. I have bought 3 mowers 1 3320 and many implements from Brookside, and have only had positive experiences until today. Update: The service manager called me today the very next day and explained the human error involved in our particular case and offered his sincere apology for the mix up. It is nice for business to take ownership of an issue and get it resolved. Brookside is definitely back to 5 stars in my book, and they definitely have what right for its customer at the top of their list. Thank You Steve for resolving this and giving us back our faith in Brookside.
I have to say working with Sales Manager - Adam Bielamowicz at Brookside was a top-notch experience. I was on the market for a new 50 HP John Deere or Kubota tractor and did A LOT of homework, shopping around at all the major dealers around Houston and online Hlavinka, Shoppa, Lansdowne etc. You will find that a lot of dealers give you a quote but leave out a host of fees and costs that slap you in the face with an extra $4k to $7k increase once you really get down to the actual price. Despite COVID dealers must be moving a lot of tractors because it was like pulling teeth just to get an incomplete quote from these other dealers, especially Hlavinka. When I reached out to Adam Bielamowicz at Brookside he was responsive, informative and didn’t waste my time. He gave me a fair and transparent price and had a tremendous amount of patience with the dozens of questions I fielded his way. Adam also drove an hour and ½ to my ranch just to shake my hand at delivery. It’s hard to find professionals that care enough to go the extra mile like that. It’s a pleasure to work with people that take pride in their work. I ended up settling on a JD 5045E. The folks at Brookside will certainly have my return business.
Service department at 3715 S Sam Houston Pkwy E not trustworthy. They got caught in a lie about a part delivery and why my service repair was delayed a month starter replacement under warranty. I tried reaching out to the manager of service Steve, manager of store Adam and the manager's director Tom and none returned my call. When I visited in person at the end of the day and tried to explain my experience with Adam the store manager, he was oblivious to customer service. His reason for not returning my call all day was that he sold 1 tractor and had a business lunch took 8 hours? He never offered to investigate my concern and get back with me with an explanation for the delay and the lie or even apologize that I had a bad experience. He felt that since I had picked up my mower that everything should be okay and resolved. It wasn't. Note this is the service department and not the store counter. I have never had an issue at the counter. I bought my mower from Brookside but will need to try another Brookside location to see if they are all the same. When I walked out, I restated to Adam it's all about Customer Service! I'm still waiting on those returned calls . . .
Only reason I give them three start .I am fan of john deer and love the equipment Reason I cut two star is their part department is not functioning at its full capacity. People are super nice , competent and helpful but not enough to help everyone . With Phone call can’t get to part department Personally visit have to wait for long time Ordered part and no one call me back when part arrive I am not use to this type of response from JD
Had a load from South Carolina, got there 10 min after lunchtime, the guy offloaded me quick
drove to this location of Brookside Equipment Sales Inc. from Galveston to pick up a pair of tree climbers / tree spurs. I called prior to the trip and spoke with man named Terry. they happen to be the last pair that this location had in stock and Terry made sure to hold them for me until I arrived. I would have purchased them online as the price for these particular tree spurs are significantly lower online, between half and a third the cost depending on the site, but i was in a pinch and did not have time to wait for an online order to come in. in saying that my five-star rating for brookside equipment sales is obviously not for the price that I paid for my product. nor is it for the selection of arborist equipment they had in stock either, as I was hoping to purchase some other items while I was there. It goes strictly to the salesmanship of Terry. in previous years I was a sales manager / general manager for a multi-billion dollar corporation in a very high pressure sales environment, with four locations which I was responsible for, so I am extremely versed in sales process regardless of the industry or products being sold. there's an old saying in the sales world... people buy fron who they like and trust. Terry, you were very professional in our time together. you represented the company you work for with class and respect. Thank you for your time and you assistance with my ourchase at Brookside Equipment Sales Inc. In conclusion, Brookside Equipment Sales Inc served as a good option to my needs. If you are looking for an commercial equipment distributor, this is a good place to shop at. Great products with a broad spectrum of applications fir anyone doing landscaping to heavier construction/excavation uses.
Awesome experience lady at the register was very nice and helpful talked about other stuff besides how can I help you and this is your total. Had to return to the store talked to a different guy he was also very helpful and friendly. She walked by and still remembered me. They help answer any questions you have and if they don’t know they tell you but they find out the information. Can’t blame them a lot of products with different details each. I own a RED tractor but will most definitely return for my riding lawnmower and other products that they have available.
Got a replacement cover for my zero turn lawn mower.
This is a top notch outfit. The parts folks are very informative and know there job well. Mr Jerry at parts know his stuff about John Deere and the other equipment they sell. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I was there getting seal kits for a tiger sideboom mower we have. Price was cheap or within average of what's on line. Very clean establishment and the people there are just down right friendly folks. Kudos to the manager for running a good service and parts department. Will definitely go back there. This is the brookside located by the beltway and 288. They are right on the service road of beltway 8.
I just got unloaded here today brought some tractor Attachments had my side box keys in the door as I always do when I'm putting up my chains and straps.Andy W. was unloading the equipment he had to unblock the attachment to roll them off. Once he was done I got my paperwork I left stopped to check my load keys gone every driver knows side box keys don't just come out. I called the manager he wasn't in I will be calling again...someone implied in responses I went back for the keys I didn't you can mail them to my company but I doubt that
