Food was good but not outstanding. Made sense for the price. Burger was a bit dry but good thanks to the sauce and cheese which added back moisture to mask it. Wines were tasty although the waiter was good, he did not share any knowledge about them and when asked which to get would only point to the most expensive rather than giving a thoughtful answer the most expensive is not always the best. Was a nice spot and I would go again but not a place I would rave about or frequent. Get the flights of wines for best value and a taste of multiple.
BTG has a great vibe. Definitely the place for a good happy hour, first date or third, solo date I think those are fun, overall, go for a great wine experience. You'll get to try whatever wine they have to offer. Imagine you first wine tasting experience, this is a great place to start. The vibe is just right, the place is clean. Service is excellent. They serve by-the-glass wine in 2oz, 5oz or by the bottle. Flights averagely come with 3 glasses. If you are three, that is nine glasses on the table. Hope no one is clumsy at the end of the night Enjoy BTG!
BTG Wine Bar is one of my most favorite restaurants in SLC. The ambiance is amazing. The food is so good! Same food as Caffe Molise. I love the wine flights. We ordered the Polenta con Salsiccia and Gnocchi di Patate with chicken. The pastas come with an amazing side salad and bread.Food: 5/5
Huge drink selection for wine lovers! I really liked the variety of drinks and that there was a holiday cocktails menu. This was a great date night!Food: 5/5
I do 4 stars because food was good. The service was sub-par. Sat fro 30min before I had a drink in my hand, 20 before i met my server., I didn't have my meal in front of me until 1 hour 20 min. I was with a group of 7 with a limited menu because of prom upstairs. With only having 5 choices on the menu to pick from turn time to plate should be no more than 20-25 min. Start to finish dinner was 2 hours. And they charge us a 20% auto gratuity, very disappointed. I can pay 600.00 for meal anywhere. Why would I come back here for another chance of sub-par service.
Such delicious food!! We came on a Wednesday night to celebrate our anniversary. We made reservations, but we probably would have been fine if we hadn't. Our server was very knowledgeable about all of the wines on their extensive wine list. We did a couple wine flights and got a cocktail. For food you can order from the restaurant above them Cafe Molise or you can order from their own menu which I highly recommend. Everything we ordered was impeccable. They were so great at making sure everything I ate was gluten free that I wasn't even worried about anything. I got their gluten free carbonara and it was amazing. The grilled asparagus was also to die for. Prices are fair, not as expensive as we thought it would be so that is nice. All around great experience here.
I've been there twice and had a great experience each time! The wine flights were excellent. The Nuts and Olives were a hit both times and the Cheese board was really nice although it was missing the nuts . Service was excellent! It's a little pricey overall, but good for a special event or quick drink. Super cute place. MAKE A RESERVATION or you likely won't get a table.
We love this restaurant, it has a very special place in our hearts. BUT the last time we went there on San Valentine’s Day unfortunately they had pop music in the background and people dancing very inappropriate. They used to have classical music or jazz in the background, making it very elegant and pleasant since the moment you walk in. I still give this place a 5 start because it’s a very nice restaurant, the atmosphere is warm and elegant, the food is good, the wine is excellent and the service is outstanding.
I really wanted to love this place and we were so excited to try it. It was our anniversary dinner and it just was all a disappointment.. the wine was the best part. The date appetizer, barely could taste the prosciutto. The eggplant meatballs had amazing flavor but it was all one consistency of mush. We ordered the chicken picatta normally one of my favorite dishes and the steak. Ordered medium on the steak and it was way over cooked. Entrees came with a salad that was overly cheesed. Just mouthfuls of cheese. The picatta was so tart. The balance of lemon, butter, and capers was so off. I was scraping the sauce off of the chicken to eat it. Chicken was also over cooked and dry. The mashed potatoes were on both entrees and were dry and extremely salty. This was a huge disappointment because like I said it was our anniversary. I probably would’ve mentioned it to our server but he never asked how the food was. I was so so excited to try this place and really sad that I was let down. Two stars for the wine flights; those were enjoyable. Overall not worth the $150 that bill was.
Sadly went to wine dinner here last night and the food was just not good. Not played well didn’t make sense and had no flavor. Plus our lamb chops were barely warm and sat on cold eggplant mush that was making in flavor. The wine was good but for the money we paid we were not happy. They did take the lamb back to rewarm it but it wax just really not good. I went home hungry and disappointed in the quality compared to the price we paid
