If you're looking for something to gift a hostess, this is the perfect store! I got a jar of honey and they were so nice to tie ribbon on it and remove the price tag. Great place to shop for gifts!

We are new to the area and stopped in thinking this would be a welcoming spot to introduce us to Melrose. We were so wrong. The staff were rude and clearly did not appreciate are interest in this home town store. We attempted to ask a question but were ignored. There was no other customers in the store. There were two staff, both young women. It would be easy to point out there appearance so the owner can train them better but we don’t want to make waves. We do ask that customers are treated with dignity and respect like anywhere else. We will not be returning.

You absolutely can't find this kind of quality customer service everywhere. They do an incredible job with stocking their store with an eclectic verity of fabulous gifts and their chocolates are outstanding. I'm also so impressed with how they remember your name even if it's been a month since your last visit. I'll be doing the majority of my Christmas shopping with them because their genuine care for customer satisfaction brings me back to my parents family bakery in Everett, MA, where we new our customers and catered to their needs. Their customer service should be the industry standard.

This store is a home away from home. All of the owners are so accommodating. The triple berry biscuits are made fresh on the weekends and are SO good. They also just customized a craft beer Advent calendar for us, and we cannot wait to see what's in store. Highly recommend, you will keep going back!

A one stop shop! Great variety of so many different things. There are lots of trinkets for gifts. There is also a great selection of beer, wines, chocolates, and cheeses.

Buckalew's is my go-to spot for special gifts, whether it is for a holiday or a birthday. Their seasonal selection of items is hand-picked by the owner, Robin, and she is always helpful in finding the perfect items for the occasion or the person in mind. She takes time to show you items that she is excited about and always is warm and thoughtful when doing so. She is a cornerstone of the Melrose community. Her selection of fine kitchen delicacies, craft beer, cider, and wine, and chocolates and treats is amazing! Take time to pick out some chocolates from the case, as they are all delicious. Whether to treat yourself, or shopping for someone special, Buckalew's will offer the best selection of whatever you are looking for!

I LOVE Buckalew’s. Whenever I have to buy a gift, this is my go to place. They have something for every age. Teacher’s gift? They have something. House warming? Go there. And I always buy their chocolate truffles as they are to die for.

Been supporting this store since it opened across the street. Robin and her staff go above and beyond to make sure you leave satisfied. Excellent selection of local snacks, chocolates, beer, wine, cider and so much more. Can’t forget the legendary Billy Goat Chips sold here, a chip like no other. The expansion has made the store even better, which I didn’t think was possible. Now we have cheeses, ice cream, more space for alcohol. This little store now packs quite the punch with its offerings. Extremely happy to see how far Buckalews has come and will always support it. My mom an I always love to stock up for our holiday parties here Whether you want to treat yourself, a friend or get stuff for a gathering. This is the place to go in Melrose.

I little hidden gem of a store in the city center of Melrose Ma. From penny candy to fine wine and craft beers. They have great nick-nacks . The service was great . Good vibes for sure.
