I gave it one star because I wouldn't be able to rate it otherwise. Went there tonight at 11:30. Wanted to order at the cash register and they refused with the explanation: this is only possible with an EC card with a chip swipe, unfortunately my card does not have this function. And by the way, the toilets are closed at 11 pm. I don't know why the shop is still open. At other branches, the order was also accepted politely at the checkout. The staff should be trained on customer friendliness. I would advise against a visit. Kind regards
It's all about the atmosphere! I've been coming here for the nostalgia for 25+ yearsFood: 4/5
If I could give this place a negative star, I would. I knew I was going to have a bad experience from the day I walked in. At first I asked them how long it would take to get a spot and they said up to 15 hours. I decided to wait because I was really hungry because I hadn’t eaten since the Civil War ended. So I waited. When the person finally came to take my order I got a large burger but they only gave me a small burger because they thought I was overweight. They charged me $69.69 for it. I ordered another burger but it still did not fill me up. So then I decided to go to McDonald’s. But McDonald’s was closed. So I went back to Burger King and they looked really sad to see me. Hehehehheeh. The next time you order at Burger King make sure to tell them that you want a big burger
This place says they open @ 5:30am but that’s a lie. Came at 6am before I got on the road, and they were closed. If you’re going to run an establishment, be accurate with your hours.
It's a Burger King nothing special, right? Well this Burger King is unique in it's decor. Old movie posters like Back to the Future 3, Jaws, a large shark bursting out of the wall, ET and his crew floating over you as you wait to order. They plan to remodel and probably won't keep the movie theme. The decor does need to be cleaned up but it's sad that they might remove it all. There is also a drive-thru. The service was fair, nothing special. I got in, and I got out with no problems.
This place is heart breaking. I used to love to come here as a kid. All the movie posters, Rock memorabilia, and the fake 1950's car table on the second floor were SO cool! Now however, the entire display is covered with a thick layer of dust, the car table on the second floor is gone, the wallpaper is peeling, and the place is generally disgusting and blighted. I added pictures of the ET display that is genuinely very cool, but also filthy. These are suspended above where you order your food. These need to be taken down and dusted or cleaned more than every 5 years! The love that went into the remodel so many years ago clearly has dwindled. I don't think this would pass a food inspection in it's current state.
Amazing that this place exists! Frozen in time. The 90's are alive and well in this extraordinary Burger King. The Impossible Whopper was good. The fries were delicious and definitely beat out McDonald's fries.
Burger King in DC I guess has a different system than the others where they select which coupons are valid on the Burger King app. NO KING DEALS HERE WOW. It’s kind of strange that the app is fo all Burger Kong’s but not this one. Please explain why ???? Update I asked server from drive through window of why the coupon on Burger King wasn’t honored she stated the manager told not today WOW without any reasonable explanation. Please check your coupon at the Connecticut Avenue NW location before you order they come up with their own rules for the consumer.
Pretty sad you can’t honor your own coupons. I’m done with all you corporations. You don’t deserve our money.
Website and signs all say they close at 12:30am. We arrived at midnight and the employees had already locked the doors and refused to serve us.
