Recommend sake sashimi, beef tongue yokitori, wagyu sando and pork belly. The happy hour menu has several good choices. It's applicable even on the weekends. The service is also good and quick. The only downside is it's a bit pricy $50+ pp. But the food is tasty!Food: 4/5
It was just ok. With the price I was expecting much more. We tried the popular wagyu sandwich, but it was overcooked and we couldn’t taste the wagyu. Also ordered uni risotto, but can hardly taste any uni in it. The oyster was the best of all, fresh and sweet. However, the rest of the dishes definitely don’t live up to the hype.
Had an enjoyable time there! Lots of unique food items. I ordered the Bushido ramen and the beef tartare roll and both were excellent. The ramen had a very clean flavour without being too fatty. The roll was absolutely delicious. Would recommend booking ahead of time so you're guaranteed a table, they can sometimes get quite busy!Food: 4/5
nice restaurant on the main strip of mountain view. brushstroke roll: really enjoyed this sushi roll! looked unassuming but all the flavors worked well and loved the snow crab portions!
First time here Tuesday November 2nd, 2021. We arrived a little after 5PM with no reservation but seated right away. Waitress was very kind and informative. Wine and cocktails were good. Wagyu sando was incredible! The Kurobuta Pork Belly was so delicious. Spent about $172 between two people. Restaurant started getting very busy as we left. Outdoor seating is available. Castro street closed for outdoor dining.
Amazing food, and their service is very good. Shishito peppers, fried tofu, salmon hand roll and unagi nigiri were our favorites.
Mediocre Japanese izakaya. Sad to see the quality of this drop over the years, it was once a magical find with great food and service. No more veggie okononiyaki, and nothing customizable. The avocado sushi tasted cheap, warm rice, soggy seaweed. Even the dessert's presentation was off and hastily cut ... Would not recommend.Food: 1/5
sashimi and uni flights are really good, also tried their popular wagyu beef sandwich, pretty good too especially with uni
Excellent sushi. Excellent food all around. Excellent service. Will visit again 100% next time I'm in the area.
This place is very expensive for the portions served. Moreover, the food doesn’t taste that good. I recommend trying other places nearby. For example, you’ll pay 18$ for a 5 pieces of vegan sushi. That’s veggies stuffed around rice for 18$. The vegan ramen tastes too salty and under cooked.
