This place is awesome. It’s packed full of amazing produce, bulk and more. The grass fed steaks are always local and always amazing. I love not having to check if something is organic or not here! They offer lower prices for owners and it’s super easy to get involved and join the Co-op! Super sweet staff - always willing to help with any questions.
Bushwick Food Coop is excellent. They put so much thought into the quality of food they provide for the community. Lots of organic, local, and natural food, and if it is not, there is a good reason for having it in the store. Excellent bulk selection. Beautiful produce. High quality dairy and meats, chocolate and coffee. Affordable, even if you aren't a member. Provided a community when I was new to Bushwick, met people during my volunteer hours. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!! Bring your own bags! Thanks, Bushwick Food Coop!
A true buying cooperative: all members receive a huge discount on food only 25% above wholesale in exchange for 4 hours of work a month. Members can join committees to help make decisions about different operations within the co-op. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of food from distributors that have been carefully vetted for growing practices, workers' conditions, and animals' conditions.
Friendly people, warm community, good prices, and great food. The best part about the coop is that it can be what you want if you get involved, and if you don't have the time, it's open to everyone to shop there. It's a great neighborhood resource!
This is a great little place and I mean little for organic and locally sourced foods and household products. They have bulk soap including Dr. Bronners magical soaps and a freezer full of meats and other perishables. You have to go in open minded because you might not find everything on your list but you will find a lot of great surprises along the way!
I was really excited to find this coop!! Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience when I set my time aside to check it out. Knowing I would be late I called ahead to be sure I would be welcome. After a very friendly conversation and being reassured that it would be absolutely fine for me to come when I was able to and I would be able to speak with someone after the meeting to find out more about it. I was looking forward to attending. Upon arriving I was condescendingly told in front of the group that I was actually not welcome. When I waiting to inquire a little more information It was made very clear to me that I should have never come. Good luck to anyone who can comfortably spend their time with someone who has such poor human relationship skills as I observed this evening.

Super friendly people, and if you can't find what you're looking for in-store, they'll have it ready for you on your next visit
I was involved here. Nice shop. Thoughtful, earth forward and offers a lot of ways to connect.
Not a huge selection but a good curation, friendly staff, relaxed vibe.
