The main Street Bridgeport optimum store is run like an old time bank in the 1800s out west. There are armed guards all over the place and you have to talk through giant pieces of glass to people who are handing you modems and such. However, very very pleasant people there who must deal with jerks all day long. I commend them for the service in this store. It is much better than the service through the telephone.
Terrible internet company. My service only worked 50% of the time, and when it was down for 9 hours the day before thanksgiving while trying to watch the World Cup I finally made the decision to change to Gonetspeed. I had my new internet installed first and made sure it was superior with signal strength. Then I called optimum to cancel my service. The first person I talked to was very pleasant and reasonable, they gave me very good offers to keep optimum as my provider but I was cancelling due to poor internet, not money, so I kindly refused the offers. Then he sent me to level 2 to “finalize my cancellation”. The guy in level 2, called Edward, was extremely rude from the moment he answered the phone. He argued with me for 15 minutes about cancelling, claiming that optimum wasn’t at fault for the internet constantly going out in my house. Finally he allowed me to cancel after going over the same offers again that the first guy had told me. The rudeness of this employee solidified my decision to cancel our service with optimum. Worst internet company!
Terrible Service. I paid my bill in full on Monday. I'm always on time with this bill. It was accidentally disconnected on Tuesday. The representative said I would get my service in 48 hours which is Friday. Very low quality service. I have one of the highest packages, unbelievable waste of money. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this to anyone. I will consider my options.
I have them for many years. Price just keeps going up. They like new customers. Finally I changed them. I had reached out many times for a match, but they do not want me "many years old customers." Beware!!! they are not prorated the price now. They charge me a full month even though I only used their service for less than two weeks due to switching. I returned all my equipment . I am not sure whether the state of CT allowed them to do this to the public . Beawar!! Do not allow them auto paid because they won't take it off afterwards I am glad that another carry came to town to competition with them. They become monopoly after years' service in CT
Optimum has been run into the ground. Predatory billing and poor service and maintenance. Go with fiber I did and won’t look back

Price has gone up astronomically. They have no interest in helping customers of many years with price breaks. Also, when equipment breaks, they send old, refurbished boxes as replacements. Waiting for a better alternative. I would give 0 stars but until I find an alternative, I am stuck.
This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received from an ISP, bar none. That is an accomplishment as I have used many over the years. The amazing thing is their aparrent unwillingness to troubleshoot poor internet performance. The service will drop multiple times per hour for minutes at a time. My mobile hotspot works better than their "400Mbps" service most of the time.
I was returning my cable box. There was NO LINE walked right up to an available agent. She greeted me as I walked up and took good care of me. Overall, a very good experience.
I do like it the Optinum the guys looks very nice at always and the Internet is always helps us to use technology all the time.
