Had a nice stay this past week. Really cool lobby. Spacious room with character. : Staff was wonderful. I liked the shampoo and conditioner, was amazing for my hair. Great location with everything close by but quiet. Definitely recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Pros: *The front desk staff are super nice and super helpful. * The hotel is extremely quiet. * The patio is very cute and very peaceful. * Several quiet spaces scattered about the hotel, perfect for someone "working from home." * A great location to head in any direction around the city. 10-20min walking distance from subways and some “must see/must do” things around the city. * Staff was very attentive to bringing me ice! I'm an athlete, and I would train everyday while I was here and needed to ice my muscles after. They were wonderful about bringing me buckets of ice multiple times a day when I asked for it. Cons: *Not the cleanest. I set my clothes down on the floor to take a shower and when I picked them up they were covered in dust. *AC is terrible. I called 3 times across 3 separate days for someone to come and fix my AC unit or be moved to another room. The temp in my room was 79. I was assured that "the technician will be right up." He only came one time. After 10pm when I was already asleep. I did however manage to "fix" the problem myself when one evening the entire facade covering the AC unit fell clean off and nearly gave me a heart attack! Then I figured out that I would just have to flip a switch on the unit itself every hour or so to reset it and it would blow cold air again. Can definitely tell by the cobwebs and lost socks/medication in there that the into hadn't been serviced in decades. *No fan in the bathroom. No curtain or anything either. Just a glass half-partition on the wrong side. Can def tell it was designed by a man IYKYK. *Elevator makes rather unsettling sounds. *The place is truly a labyrinth. The escape room of hotels. Nothing makes sense.
You can hear anyone in hallway talking as if they were in room with you. Shower is tile and as soon as it gets wet it is very slippery. No ice machines so if you don't get ice before 11 your out of luck. Had an event to attend rooms do not have irons or boards in rooms. They offer to check your bags after checkout, but there is a fee. Because of shower do not recommend staying her if you are up there in age or have limited mobility. I'm a bigger guy and was very cautious getting in and out myself. Hotel is very modern with amazing art and decor though.
RUN FROM THIS HOTEL! Total roach box! Room AC units are broken and instead of fixing them, they had window AC units installed totally taking up a window. The mattress’s are old and slump, common area hallways carpet lose and trip hazard. Rooms and furniture are disgusting! Not as advertised! Further, the staff seem to have forgotten they work in HOSPITALITY sand could care less about customer experience. Arrived 1.5 hours ahead of 3pm guaranteed check in time and was told the room was ready, but if I wanted to check in early it was going to be $65!? No sense of accommodation or interest in making one feel welcome. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
Recently, stayed at Cachet Boutique Hotel NYC. The experience was horrible. I was shuffled around three times due AC issues. I was moved from the originally room where the portable AC unit in the room was not working properly. When moved to another room it was 82 degrees in that room and was told by front desk staff the maintenance worker would make the necessary temperature adjustments. After an hour and sweating profusely. I had to call the front desk again to inform them it was terribly hot and was moved a 3rd time. The rooms were also not clean such as dust on base boards, lamps, headboards, mold on ceiling and debris on floors. The bathroom tile had mold. It was mental bar sticking out from under the bed causing me to hurt my leg. In the hallway tape was used to repair the rug. When you request ice, it’s brought to the room exposed with no covering. However, the staff were pleasant. The pictures online about how the hotel looks are fictitious. This was hotel was a major disappointment! Nearby activities: Near time square and the Hudson Harbor. Walkability: Near time square and the Hudson Harbor.
This is a perfect example where you shouldn’t always believe reviews. This is a GREAT hotel. The check-in and check-out took 2 minutes. The staff was efficient and polite My room was clean and beautiful with a huge bathroom It really felt like home ! The only very small downside is that I had to pay 2$ in cash for them to keep my suitcase the day I left. It’s very cheap so it was appreciated but most tourists don’t use cash when they travel, so I had to withdraw 50$ + bank fees just to pay these 2$. I just wished I had this info before my arrival Deposit was returned 24 hours after I left, so before bashing this lovely hotel, keep in mind your bank might just be slow.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Great service. Amazing atmosphere. Super clean, comfortable and inviting. The location is perfect. It’s very close to all of the action, yet far away enough to be more chill. I highly recommend this hotel.
Such a dirty place. The room was covered in dust, it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. It was just disgusting to have to touch the furniture and the floor. Blinds didn't close properly because of the mobile AC unit which is way too loud for anyone to sleep while it is on. They also charge an extra 25$ fee per person/night for “user experience” gym, wifi and coffee machines in the lobby, ridiculous. Would definitely not recommend. There are cleaner and better located hotels for less $$
Good bad and rooms. They’re all accessible from the inside so if you open your window you’re unfortunately subjecting yourself to anyone that walks by the interior. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and I had a good soap inside the street unfortunately is a little chaotic with constant sirens, especially with the middle being open you’re subject to the noise. Nice for natural light to come in. Be aware of the experience tax of $25. They attack this song for coffee gym Wi-Fi use.
Upon walking in you'd think this is a fancy place. Room was anything but nice, beds old and uncomfortable, widowless AC unit in room. Outdoor slider for a bathroom door, so not much privacy. Place could use some updating. The open courtyard things were nice and service was good, that's about it.Rooms: 1/5
