Beautiful, quiet, romantic place for a date night. I love the design and atmosphere , it is very intimate. The food is delicious, menu has a lot of vegan options, humus is one of the best I’ve tried. This restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, but they have a lot of non-alcoholic options. Big choice of desserts. Service is nice, attentive and fast, they don’t assign a certain waiter for you, any of the staff can help you, so it is pretty convenient. This place might not have a full dining experience, because they don’t have much dishes for main course, but you definitely will not leave hungry, 2 appetizers and a gyro completely filled 2 people.
Overall good experience. Our server kept getting switched up which was kinda lame. Like where did the first guy go? But together they were attentive. Eating lunch in dark cave was nice and relaxing. The tea pot is great, no matter which one you get. Portion sizes are very generous. Food tastes absolutely delicious. The dessert was to die for honestly! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Cave structure replica restaurant, great service , quality Mediterranean foods and portion size with meatless burgers , save room for dessert large selection with shakes lattes and teas . I highly recommend you try the experienceDine in: Yes
I get very skeptical when the inside of a restaurant is VERY dimly lit. What are they literally hiding? I went on a rainy satuday night without a reservation and was immediately sat in a cave/booth table in the back. I am not kidding when I say this restaurant is very dimly lit. The only sources of light were candles. Now the food. We had the hummus, the chicken gyro plate and the falafel plate. The hummus comes with something like 8 pieces of pita and was delicious. Both the chicken gyro plate and the falafel plate were gigantic and came with pita and a salad. The dressing on the salad was fantastic. The chicken and the falafel were ok. Nothing special. We had the tiramisu dessert which was great. The price is fine since they give pretty generous portions
I ordered the Caramel Applewalnut dessert and instead got a bakery apple croissant and was charged $15 plus tax when you get this at a local bakery for $3.25 at most. Preposterous! I called the restaurant as soon as I opened the box and saw this and was told that they no longer have the previous caramel applewalnut cake. It is important to tell the customer BEFOREHAND so the customer is not disappointed expecting something. No one told me on the phone at the time I placed the order that they no longer have the item or that they updated the item to another thing. Extremely unprofessional!!
Had a mixed experience here, the Servers were kind but took a while to serve us, portions are massive and honestly mediocre, The Gyro was decent but had a plate of unnecessary salad to go along with it. I love Salad but It should be an option rather then the norm. Their drinks were great though simply enjoyable. They were also very flexible with our reservation as we had gotten stuck in traffic and arrived late. Lastly the Dessert was beautiful, a chocolate cheesecake with bits of homemade brownie and a raspberry sauce on top was delicious. SO to finish this of, Cost:3/5expensive for unnecessary large portions Service:3.5/5 Entree's:3/5 Dessert:5/5 Drinks:4/5Made in house drinks not fountain soda or anything Atmosphere: 4/5 Final rating:4/5rounded up
I was Amazed the minute I walked in. The staff were amazing, so polite!. Food was great. I didn't like the Tiramisu though, BUT the chocolate cake! Omg it was literally the best chocolate cake ever!. Definitely coming back
This place absolutely has an aesthetic, and if you aren't ready for it, it's gonna be a shock. Personally, I hated every bit of the atmosphere, but that's on me... eating in a literal cave just wasn't what I was expecting when we accidentally stumbled into this place. The 5 star rating is purely on how good the food was. Next time, I'll do takeout.
BYOB / one of the best dessert spot in NJ ! The ambiance was amazing.
“It’s a cave” Archetypus Edgewater, NJ 5/5 $ The ambiance at this place is amazing. It gets pretty dark but it gives it more of a cave feel. The food is so delicious and healthy. There’s a variety of options to chose from. No alcoholic beverages served. Plenty of desserts and drinks to chose from. Definitely recommend it for a date or one-on-one. . . #edgewaternj #njrestaurants #coolplacesnj #njeats #foodinnj #placestoeatnj
