it's a very super cute coffee shop. their pastries were delicious. we tried few of them and they were super amazing. their coffees were also great. if you are in the neighbourhood definitely give them a try
One of our favorite french and patisserie cafe in New York City. It is located literally one black away from the Central Park. We came there for lunch with the whole family and got a few dishes to share: quinoa salads, cheese and spinach quiche, mushroom quiche, a few croissants and cookies. Everything was delicious. Latte and cappuccino were great too but not very hot, and unfortunately they only had to-go cups. The place is not very big and it is narrow. It was hard to find a table because it was packed - we had to wait a few minutes. Since it was very cold out nobody was using outside tables. They mixed our order a little bit forgot a few items, but maybe because it was a large order - not sure. Also it is self service: you clean your table and you bring everything to your table too. There is only one bathroom and wasn’t very clean - again maybe because it was packed and they didn’t have time to refresh it
I stopped by this cafe for the first time. It was much more spacious than I expected, so I was easily able to find a table inside. Their pastries all looked very inviting, and I had a hard time to pick out the one I wanted.
I had a mocha latte and shared a table with a local is this hidden gem. The pastries looked amazing, and everyone I chatted with confirmed my assumptions. I had a lunch reservation around the corner and popped in to Cafe Bilboquet to pass the time. Had a great chat over coffee and would recommend stopping by.
I do not know what to say. I waited 5 minutes go tell my order and waited a following 10 minutes to pay. Until I got my "coffee" it was already cold. Why did I put coffee in inverted commas? Because I ordered a normal Latte Macchiatto but you can see on the following pictures what I got. 3.81$ for that coffee shot. So to summarise I don't recommend it :
One of the best oatmilk latte I've had in Manhattan so far. Would love to know the origin of the beans they use. I also got a scone based on a review saying it tasted like a muffin.. it was nice but the crust of sugar used makes the outer layer hard to eat. Bear in mind, although it is a cafe, they do not allow laptops inside. Weird but I guess they want to keep their posh vibe going. I don't see how a person sitting with their laptop can have any effect on the experience other customers may have. Pastries are on the higher end of the price range. Salad and sandwiches are pre-made.
3 stars because they are okay at the simple stuff, that they don’t have to process again. like iced coffee, regular coffee, etc. 3stars for the service at the counter, which is inconsistent, they sometimes get your order right, sometimes don’t, for example this morning I ordered a large mocha, they gave me a mocha, dropped the large. My Cuban Reuben this morning deserves no star, for $15, it was burned inside out, if I had made this myself I would have thrown it out and made another one, but I noticed it too late since it was take out. A toast and ham burned to this degree I think starts entering the “probable carcinogen” category, on top of being rock-hard in texture, literally like chewing on a burnt piece of firewood.
The espresso is pretty good, although the menu is limited. You can get a Cortado but it’s off menu. Everything is take away plastic/paper
Outstanding pastries. Good coffee. Friendly service with a French accent. I stop there every time I'm near midtown. Try the Flan.
Beautiful cafe! The croissants, pastries, are incredible! They also have the best mocha! It feels like you are in Paris or France when you are in this cafe.
