Loved the vibes of the place but the seating could have been better. They have a lot of options for food and drinks. It's a perfect place to catch up with friends. I tried the hot chocolate Berlin and the spicy tortellini with grilled chicken. And I loved them both. The grilled chicken was perfect and I loved every bite of it. The service is pretty good and fast too.
The cafe it's beautiful, ate dessert after 9pm. Server 5 star, nice, attentive, and loved that she asked about allergies. I definitely agree with other reviews hot chocolate is not good. Stay away from hot chocolate. Strawberry crepe was good. Did not like blackout mountain torte, seemed plain.Dine in: Yes
They were busy and appeared to be short-staffed, so we had to wait probably 30+ minutes for a patio table but we weren't in a rush so that was okay. Our server was obviously stressed but did a great job and was very attentive. We shared the spinach/artichoke dip, a slice of Tres Leches cake and a slice of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake. Perfect end to a nice Saturday! Great dessert spot!
First the ambience is a 5. It's easy to imagine yourself in France or Italy at a sidewalk cafe. The music loud enough to set a mood but not too loud to prevent talking. The service a 4. Very friendly staff and mostly attentive but had to twice ask to refill water and get salt and pepper. The food a 5. The French toast with bananas and pecans was to die for. If you like your French toast doughy yet crispy and buttery and flavorful, then you know what I mean. The open face croissant sandwich was tasty, though the scrambled eggs were a little dry. The seafood croissant was light and fluffy but could use a little more seasoning. The rosemary potatoes were flavourful and well seasoned. Overall a grand experience and we will be back.
Beautiful restaurant! We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The tables are a little small and cramped; there was 3 of us and it was slightly difficult to fit our plates on the table. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was great and a surprisingly large portion. The cannoli cheesecake was fabulous and not overly sweet!
Best cafe - for the date night. Rustic interiors with interesting paintings and soothing Ambience. They have enmorous varieties of cakes and pastries . There's a bar counter and dining area, with lots of seating tables indoor and outdoor. It's a perfect place for a date or on dinner nights.
One of the most sophisticated and classy restaurants I have seen here in Atlanta region with such great food options to choose from. From the dimmed lights to the highly decorated dining interiors everything was just amazing. A perfect place for a Valentine Date night! The wait time was told to be 30mins but they returned a call in less than 15mins. The restaurant was huge and relatively dark but nicely lit. We ordered a starter, a main accompanied by a Hot chocolate and couple of desserts. Hummus with Naan Starter: was good with the mushroom and olive tapenade center and hummus spread around it. The Naan was extremely soft, good and went well with the occasionally bitter Hummus. Tomato Basil Pasta: was just as expected with some herbs and very little cheese topped in a pool of marinara sauce. The sauce was more than the pasta. Hot Chocolate Berlin: was easily the best pick of our Valentines evening. The most delicious and extremely creamy Hot chocolate I have ever had. With hazelnut spread across the brim of the large cup and also at the inside bottom of the cup was just top notch. Highly recommend this! The sweet was perfect and tasted amazing. Hazelnut Chocolate Banana Crêpe: was great with Pecans and powdered sugar all over the top and with some tasty hazelnut chocolate spread on the bananas. I loved to have this full but the quantity was just way too much. Tiramisu: was not the best of Tiramisu’s I have tried. Would have to say they kind of played safe with not so much of coffee dusted on the top. Hot Chocolate DeLuxe: would be the hot chocolate kids wouldn’t prefer as it was more on the bitter side compared to Berlin Hot Chocolate. It was more of Dark cocoa powder but that was expected as per the description. The ambience was really really good for a date! It’s more of a restaurant than just a cafe or a coffee shop in terms of looks and feel. The dim lights are great with candle on the table making it more romantic if you are with your loved ones. The service was literally fast and quick. BOTTOMLINE: Perfect for date nights. Great desserts, hot chocolate and coffee options. Good for light dinners. Amazing ambience. MY PICKS FOR YOU: Hot Chocolate Berlin, Hazelnut Chocolate Banana Crêpe, Tomato Basil Pasta, Tiramisu
Beautiful ambiance, especially on days with milder weather where you can sit out on the patio. If you come at night, it's a more romantic vibe with dim candle lit lighting. Intermezzo has been a stable date night spot for so many in the atl area. This is my preferred location because I like the easy parking and the spread out seating. Food and drinks and over priced and you're essentially paying for the environment but I still find myself coming back time and time again.
I absolutely love Cafe Intermezzo! I feel like I’ve escaped to another city each time I visit. I love the ambience, soft music playing in the background, drinks and sweets! This is the perfect location for date night, grabbing drinks with friends, meeting up with work colleagues or just enjoying an evening solo. I’ve visited the midtown location, my favorite is the Dunwoody due to the convenient parking and it’s not too crowded. Try the espresso martini when you visit - you won’t be disappointed!
Definitely pricey. But the high cost is for the ambiance and rich vibes. Great for dates or pregame before heading to dinner. Their cakes might be a lil too sweet though so warning ahead. But drinks esp Brandy was tasty and not too strong.
