If you want money stolen from your bank account with out your authorization, this is the company to go with!! I originally went with the company because they were super cheap compared to the rest of insurances. Then after the first year they nearly doubled the rate and said there was a discount for the first year. Then surprise withdrawals on my bank account, when they weren’t supposed to withdraw from it, they can’t give a straight answer and promised to refund the money, no apology from the company, no refund of the money taken. You can’t get a more shady insurance company to go with. The only Casualty with California Casualty is the customer!
I decided to leave Liberty Mutual 3 years ago because I was hired by a school district that supported California Casualty. I have been a resident of Arizona since 2008. I had my first car accident, which ended up to be my fault, in early May 2017. It's now June 12, 2017 and my claim still isn't resolved. If I had time to understand the rushed process, I would have paid for the part that California Casualty ,as the last minute, decided not to pay for. To make a long story short, I am a School Teacher/Counselor in the summer months. These are the months we don't get paid having to deal with purchasing a new vehicle. I am not posting all the details of this process because to time. I am writing a quick synopsis of the deceptive claim process I am experiencing with the company right now. Today, Monday June 12, 2017, I was told by Enterprise that California Casualty will no longer pay for my rent a car. My claim hasn't been closed yet because this past Friday I informed the agent I had gap insurance coverage and my loan should be paid off in full. I am really in a financial bind dealing with my first claim with California Casualty. I am disappointment in California Casualty with this claim process. It's seems they are for Educators until they have to pay out on policy.
One of their customers hit me recently and it's been 5 days since I was promised that I would hear from Miguel. The company has never reached out to me I have had to call them every single day for an update on fixing my vehicle. Geico wanted to put me in the shop on Monday but I proceeded with going through the person's insurance instead for quicker action. This clearly isn't the case with California casualty. The reviews speak for themselves on the lack of customer service this company doesn't offer. Their customer admitted fault for the accident and I provided documentation to fulfill requirements for their customer being at fault. They have yet to give me anything in regards to repairing my car. I do not recommend this company. Edit: After several days I was finally able to reach Miguel I had to call. I told him my car still hasn't been fixed and he proceeded to question why I haven't taken it to a dealership. This company told me I would hear additional information before proceeding with the repairs. He told me to take it to a shop for an estimate.. At which I was concerned because that can literally take days and I needed a rental as soon as possible. The customer service continues to be horrible. I expressed my concerns to him about the lack of communication and just didn't seem to care. Food for thought: don't ever get insurance through this place and if you are hit by one of their insured, just go through your own insurance.
Been with California casualty for years. I recently had some roof damage from a storm. Couple thousand to repair and CC wouldn't cover it. After all these years of paying them. Thousands upon thousands to them and they didn't wanna cover a little damage to the roof. Sad. A company can just rip you off like that after so many years. I got rid of them and I'm much happier now.
This company is the worst! They sent me a quote over, in writing, on an auto insurance policy. I got set up to be a customer based on the price they quoted me at. The agent I was dealing with called me up the next day and said the price he quoted me at was incorrect. So I told him that was fine, but I didn't want to become a customer anymore. These guys ended up charging me anyways at the incorrectly quoted price mind you, and still have not refunded me! This was over a month and a half ago and I can't get the agent I was dealing with to call me back or give me the time of day. If I could give these guys a negative rating, I would. Worst company ever, do not do business with them.
Horrible!! The worst! I live in Arizona, and had to deal with this horrible company as their client was a Hit-and-Run in Mesa, Arizona. Lucky my wife was OK but they did absolutely everything they could to push off doing what they and their client were responsible for. It took almost 2 months for them to resolve the issue and still not fully. Hours and hours spent on just tracking down their client through our DPS. I hope he has lost his license...at least. Then the complete lack of communication, leaving it to us to have to constantly call them to find out the status. Of course no empathy for what we were going through with the loss of a functional car for this time. HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE.
My daughter was in an accident sept 2017, she was not at fault, she dealt with Lisa Abelstad claims representative, I never in my life have heard of having to pay your medical bills with your settlement check of pain and suffering, I know for a fact that the insurance has to pay all medical bills when a person isn’t at fault and the other driver has an insurance to cover that. The man who struck my daughter’s car and totaled it and sent her to the hospital has California casualty insurance, and Lisa abelstad did not do her job and now a hospital bill of 1,000 dollars has come in the mail and my daughter calls Lisa and all Lisa can say is that she has to pay out of her settlement money which was nothing so that would only leave my daughter with about 700 for pain and suffering and the total loss of her car. What kind of insurance is California casualty!! Can anyone refer me to a good lawyer or does anyone know how I can go about reporting this to the general attorneys office or the better business bureau this absolute wrong!!
Lisa Ablestad is the worst claim representative! did not explain to me after the settlement that my medical bills weren’t going to be paid for got my bills in collections after a couple months thinking they where paid for now she is wanting me to pay out of my settlement money which was nothing my 1,000 dollar in medical bills. Ridiculous! Going to take it further! That is not right and she wasn’t clear and I practically did her job for her cause she takes to long to resolve claims and get medical records. As I was not at fault I don’t think that is right for me to have to pay my own medical bills.
Great company that really takes pride in protecting our community heroes, police, firefighters, nurses and teachers!
