Very professional and informative. I went to them because there aren't many places that can do road force wheel balancing properly. I said i was down to get new wheels. Instead of up selling me into getting new wheels, they recommended balancing. I ended up getting new wheels in the end. They were able to source the wheels within 3 weeks. They did even charge me for alignment. If you live around campbell and are looking for a reliable shop for any work related to wheels, i recommend going here. They can also help you order and install external and maybe internal trim as well. Im pretty sure they can help flash your ecu as well. Some really nice cars at the shop, which is an indication of a good shop.
Tommy and his crew did a great job with my Cadillac ELR. This job included new tires, wheels, painted calipers and custom rotor install. The car looks great and the staff is friendly. Great work and I will definitely be coming back.
In the past I brought some recentered H1 wheels with some 3/8 rock rings in for balancing. It took a ton of weight, but they were able to make the truck smooth as fast as I was willing to take it. I recently brought some Icon beadlocks in and they were able to mount tires up to all 6 and there was zero issues. When I show up with something wildly out of balance or a new kind of beadlock it's a nice that they'll tackle it, other places will just plain refuse.
This is an honest review I have already provided via email to the shop: """ I recently had two services window tinting and brake caliper painting on my black Mustang convertible done at Caliwheels in Campbell, and I want to provide honest feedback directly to you. First red flag, we agreed on the prices over the phone, but once I came to pick up my car, tinting was charged $100 more than agreed upon. I asked about it and it was corrected, but I did not get an apology, rather it felt like I haggled, and it felt uncomfortable. Next, over the course of a week, I noticed that the tint was poorly done a lot of small bubbles, and quite a few big lints stuck between window and foil. Both rear brake calipers have chipped, and there was overspray on my entire car from the caliper painting. I have spent a few hours with a clay bar trying to clean up the overspray, but it turned out to require more effort than that. Needless to say, I was shocked about the level of negligence you had when servicing my car. I went back to your store I was told I can come in if not satisfied, no need to call in, and was told to come back in a week, because there was no staff to fix my issues. Again, no apology, rather I left from there like I was somehow at fault. I came back, and went through everything that needed to be fixed on my car. I was assured it will be. When I picked up the car again, the tint was in a much better state, though far from perfect, noticeably worse than what I have seen done on my friend's cars in other places. I am trying to be fair, so if there is something on my car that prevents it from being done properly, I would have appreciated to be told in advance. Chip on one of my breaks was poorly fixed you can see that it was patched up, and completely ignored on the other one. In the meantime, one of the front brakes also chipped. I can tell that the breaks were not cleaned properly before painting, and I am very disappointed. Finally, the overspray was fortunately cleaned and removed very well, though it should not have been there in the first place. All in all, your services are priced very highly, while delivering subpar quality, or worse. Moreover, the time I have spent going back and forth with issues plus cleaning that I tried to do myself has cost me more than the cost of your services, and I decided that it is cheaper for me to not come back again, but find another workshop to resolve them. I had plans on buying new wheels and tires at your shop, but I changed my mind, for obvious reasons. """
California Wheels does excellent work. They recently mounted and balanced five new Pirelli Cinturato P1 tires on vintage BWA alloy wheels for my Alfa Romeo. Their staff is professional and courteous. Scott did a really fantastic job in balancing the tires and wheels. The car now rides as smooth as glass all the way up to speed. As a long time repeat customer, I highly recommend California Wheels for all your wheel and tire needs.AAA+++++
Tommy, the owner and California Wheels, completely took the time to listen to what I wanted and implemented a great strategy for both of my cars. California Wheels completely changed the look of my 2015 Supercharged Range Rover, and once this job was completed I was convinced to go with his team for my convertible Audi R8. California Wheels took great care of of both cars and I get compliments all the time on both cars. At first I had a very slight fitment problem on my Audi, and Tommy immediately said lets make it right so I was completely satisfied. Very trust worthy, fair price, but clearly wheel and tire experts! JP
I have bought 3 set of wheels from California wheels already. Love the service that they provide and the selection of wheels that have on hand to look at. They have been around since I was in high school. That was over 25 years ago. These guys are certainly legit. Just had my Tesla in for some new wheels. They got me the best deal, even better then online. Had some tire rubbing issues with the new wheels rubbing in the front and rear passenger area. Took the car in about 3 weeks later and the took care of it as a courtesy. Great customer service. Thinking about getting new wheels and tires. I highly recommend Tommy and California Wheels. Best in the Game!! AAAAAA++++
Went in last week to look at purchasing new wheels for my Infiniti Q50s when the owner, Tom, came and talked with me about another option of having my Infiniti wheels dusted black gloss. So thankful that he did because when I got my car back, it looked better than it would have with after market wheels for sure. The service was great. The workmanship is amazing. My car has a great new look and I am very happy!!! Will definitely recommend California Wheels to anyone wanting to purchase new or have their originals dusted.
Excellent Experience and expertise. They are punctual and have very reasonable pricing for their work. I was very comfortable allowing them to work on my BMWs and I will absolutely return when I need something done. Work I've had done with California Wheels: Full set of wheels, wheel balancing, spring install, suspension adjustments, and excellent fender rolling. Recommended
After going to a bunch of different tire shops over the past week Tommy was able to set me up with some awesome looking wheels and tires that have set me up for some great adventuring in the 3.6l Outback! After the wheel and tire change the car absorbs more shock from the road, stops better, and provides even better handling in the rain and snow as I just went over donner pass today. Overall, the ride is much more comfortable. All in all great experience! Way to go California Wheels!
