This is a good place to live. I do not understand those who complain online about noise from the freeway or monthly rent or about space in the unit that THEY chose. Those people should have taken a good listen to the noise before renting which is most often a constant whir, not as if people are honking their horns at residents here. As for monthly rent or the spaciousness of your unit, you agreed to it did you not?
If you want a quiet neighborhood with lots of amenities close to the Town Center area, freeway, three hospitals, Mt. Trashmore, shopping, dining and more, choose Cambria. Cambria is a short drive to the beach and slightly longer into downtown Norfolk and well worth the rent as the grounds are well kept, the apartments are only 4 or 5 years old at the max and there is plenty of room in your unit provided you choose a unit that suits your needs. There are many amenities here and monthly activities as well. There are pet free and smoke free buildings too. I have found the staff to be professional and responsive. I highly recommend Cambria at Cornerstone Apartments.

What a bad bad experience!! the nose from the interstate 264 is ridiculous. the owner should consider building a wall to reduce the traffic nose. the maintenance is too mediocre and lacking some skills. I have asked several times to fix the annoying beeping nose of the fire alarm a the gym , especially in the weekend when there no one to stop it from beeping. I also smell propane at the gym sometimes which interrupted my work our several times. two treadmills are out of work all the time. and what drove me crazy the most is the utility bill that keeps increasing all the time. this month the water rate increased from .102 to .1446 and the SWR rate increased from .2338 to .3005. so I am paying around $200 utility bill every month which is ridiculous. If you don't mind the nose and living in a box of cereal that does not worth what we pay for then welcome to Cambria at Cornerstone. Don't let them blow your mind with the club house and the amenities that I barely use!!!!!

Review edit : my first review was definitely just focused on negative events. However, since that review things have seemed to been resolved.
My stay at Cambria could have been better, but that can be said almost anywhere. When we first moved in we were treated fabulous - until we signed our lease and had hands thrown up at us and pushed to someone else. We had terribly rude neighbors upstairs who were super super inconsiderate and became “upset” because we weren’t understanding enough for them and their son who constantly ran “as kids do”. Well we also have a 3.5 year old and I never once received a complaint. Because running and jumping is for outside play. ANYWHO.. I wish i would’ve addressed this further with the office and not just the resident relations contact. I now know I should’ve taken it further up, and spoken to management. I’ve also learned now that I need to document my move in check lists way way more! My mistake here as I didn’t have the full evidence I needed upon move out. But that’s okay, ya live and learn. After moving and receiving my moveout final bill, I sat down for almost an hour and spoke with Jessica, the property manager and expressed my issues during my stay and concerns regarding the bill. She was definitely very very helpful and considerate. She understood exactly where I was coming from, and I where she was. She did go above and beyond to ensure I understood the charges and such. The one most upsetting is the carpet. The replace the entire apartment is even if he only damage was in the living room... it’s not a cambria policy, but a Breeden - which in my opinion should be reviewed. It’s quite unfair to require a tenant to pay for things undamaged. Overall, I would recommend people to move here - just do your research. If you have concerns ensure they are addressed to the fullest. Document everything. The ground were always lovely - minus the lazy folks who don’t like to pick up after their pets. Which was super frustrating. Great ammenaties my husband and i loved using, and my son loved loved loooooved the pool! There was always a community event going on that the office hosted, which was a lovely thing. Very kid friendly with loads of play areas outside.

Nice place, centrally located to town center, quiet, and beautiful grounds but a little pricey for what you get. Price is equivalent to what you would pay in a much larger city. The biggest improvements needed are an upgraded kitchen and upgraded bathroom sinks and vanity. The kitchen has old, black appliances and the cabinets are this old looking wood. The floors are this cheap vinyl material that seems to be pealing up. The baths vanity's dont have any storage! They are just pedestal legs. Bad design for a city apartment. Its not a huge issue but if your paying $1400/month the apartment should be updated. Another flaw is that the utilities are really high. Not sure if its a Virginia Beach city thing or the heaters/ac's are inefficient. Lastly, there are no storage units even if you wanted to pay for them.
Overall a nice place that could use some improvements. I would recommend to someone who doesnt have a tight budget.

My boyfriend and I just moved in February and we absolutely LOVE living here!!! I have never lived in an apartment complex with such a great feeling of community, everyone is SO nice!! The amenities are amazing!!! From the gyms, two pools, beautiful clubhouse with free coffee, media room, pool table, beautiful courtyards with outdoor lounge areas with TVs and grills, community garden, dog park, corn hole and bocce ball pit to the beautiful landscaping. There is so much to see and we love to go on walks and see the varying plants and flowers spread throughout the community. We love how pet-friendly the community is as well! There are many resident events planned that are fun for everyone! The apartment itself is beautiful on the inside from the hardwood floors, tile floor in the bathroom to the beautiful low pile carpet. The leasing staff is super friendly and professional and they make you feel at home from day one! The maintenance staff is extremely nice and professional and always answers any maintenance requests quickly and always get the job done right! I have never been more happy and felt more at home than I have here! You can't beat the location as well! We plan to stay here for many years to come! You will NOT regret moving here!!!
