The meals were perfect and worth every dollar. I got the duck and my boyfriend got the salmon. This is the first dish I’ve ever had mushrooms in and I loved it so I truly mean this. There was a perfect balance with both dishes. We ended up splitting a gluten free chocolate cake. Highly recommend.
I have been here a couple times and I've had a great experience every time I've been here. I ate at the bar once, and I received such good service from James at the bar, that I came back again the next night. I have never had such good service at a bar. I decided to take my two celiac daughters out this evening and we all had a great time. Our waiter Justin, gave us phenomenal service. He took a lot of extra time to help us deal with the food allergies of my daughters; Even though I knew they were very busy. The place was packed. Both of my daughters were absolutely surprised that they were able to bring gluten-free muffins to our table while I was eating the bread. Everything they do here, they seem to do well. They were even able to get dessert; and that is a very rare thing for my daughters with their food allergies.
Very good food. Got the Korean short ribs which were great, lots of flavor. The bread pudding was good but not quite as good as the one they used to have at cap city. Waygu steak was good also but a bit chewy. Vegetarian options: Not the place for you Kid-friendliness: No Parking: Easy
Attended for Mother's Day Brunch. Limited choices, only 3 brunch items but excellent food and my mom loved hers which is what mattered most. Restaurant is small and a little crowded and seemed to catered to a much older clientele which surprised me. Would have given 5 stars but took 20 minutes after we finished food and plates were cleared to get our check. Definitely not up to par with the other Cameron Mitchell restaurants but still a good choice Features: None were visible
This is a nice "hidden" gem. It is a Cameron Mitchel restaurant which means great foods, sensitive to food allergies, with great drinks and great service. The staff is nice, always there to help, answer questions, etc. Do they have options for gluten free and vegetarian? Yes. Can you sit at the bar and have a great meal and drinks? Yes. This is a special occasion place for my wife and I. I highly recommend it. Parking: This is parking in a plaza. Since it is only open for diner, usually parking is not a problem Wheelchair accessibility: It is first Floor Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free items, vegetarian items and you can ask them to make something special.
My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary here. We could not say enough good things about the experience. We were seated quickly and everything was clean. The waiter asked if we were celebrating anything and we told him, next thing we know the staff was dropping a rose off at our table and saying congratulations. Next, the staff was very helpful with the menu and explaining the food. I ordered the seared duck breast as seen in the pictures and when I say it was DELICIOUS, I mean it. They also gave us a free desert for our anniversary. Even without the free desert, we were blown away. Thank you guys, and we will certainly be back.
I moved to Columbus 30 yrs ago and have driven by American Bistro many times, but never dined there. Our favorite go to is Cap City Diner, especially the Saturday brunch, best in Columbus. I was taking my granddaughter home and needed to get a Cameron Mitchell gift card. My granddaughter pulled up the menu, saw duck on it and asked if we could go there for dinner. Duck was amazing, perfectly cooked with cherries in a simple light juice. Loved the bread and the option to select different sides. Can't wait the new German Village restaurant to open. My special occasion restaurant, Ocean Club. Thanks for all the options. A restaurant for every taste and budget.
The exterior doesn't look like much but inside is elegant and cozy. We went for an early New Years dinner and couldn't be happier. Got the special 16 oz Ribeye with Lobster topper with duck fat cooked potatoes and spinach or other leafy green saute. Even the greens were delectable. Everything was cooked perfect. I would have mopped the plate if at home. Did the chocolate lava cake for dessert. It was gluten free but still satisfying. With a couple bottles of champagne wasn't a cheap night but worth the price. Staff was friendly though waitress seemed a bit forced at times. Will be going back for sure.
Delicious food! Every part of the meal was good from the bread with roasted garlic to the cocktails, the steak and even the dessert. Probably my favorite meal I’ve had at a Cameron Mitchell restaurant though the ambiance was lacking. Way too many tables crowded into a small space really kills the upscale atmosphere it’s going for. Otherwise an excellent experience!
I've been looking forward to dining here for a while. Sat down at 7:30. We did not see our server for 20-25 minutes. Never came by the table. Finally, she shows up and takes our drink order. We had been sitting for 30 minutes before we had a drink. I understand if your busy but all you have to do is get me a drink and some bread, then you can take as long you want. We never even got offered bread for the entire meal. I would have walked out of a Waffle House with that service. At a $100 per person restaurant? One that prides itself on service? Bad look. No apology, no manager stopping over to help out, no acknowledgement at all. The food was great though. So maybe get takeout and save 20-25% on your meal that way. There are tons of great expensive places to eat around Columbus. I'll never come to this one again.
